1. Prevent the hinge from shifting as much as possible. If hinge was shifted by high load, much torque will be lost.
2. Note that high power engine is not necessarily needed. Most important thing is load-balance between engine, gear-box, shaft or chain, suspension, and wheels.
3. Friction wheels (circles) are better rather than polygon-gear, in phun. Polygon-gear does not work smoothly in higher rpm.
reply to 3. : does it matter on your pc speed? i noticed when i start lagging fast objects fly through eachother (if they are small) and when im smooth it dosnt
It is PC-independent issue, I think. (My PC is Core2duo 1.67GHz, 2GB RAM)
Click "Show sim-info" in File-menu, and you can see words "Running at 100Hz". It means the simulation-time unit is 0.01 second. So, phun may simulate incorrectly what's occurring in 0.01 second. In other words, an object moving at 100m/s may go through wall of 1m width. That's the reason why the polygon-gear does not work smoothly in higher rpm.
the best creations on phun...yet crap music. Nice lol.

how did you do blown circles?
Karczi954 3 years ago
Do you mean a ring?
Any "ring" are made from small boxes. - Outer gear of the planetary gear mechanism - Inner gear of the rotor

You may download .phn files from "Phun box" site. Search a word "mori-d" as author name there.
