This season was so strange,I didn't really had a favorite one for this season,I liked Danny a lot but he screwed it up,but I still cried when he sang for the last time.I'm a little dissapointed with the results,cause Adam is fantastic but I'm not going to bitch and complain like archuleta's fans did last year when Cook won.Adam is the best thing that had ever happened to AI but my favorite season was season 7 & my favorite Idol ever is David Cook

i stand Corrected: average is 13 million viewers a week (final show was almost 30 million), 2 hours/week, time 4 weeks/month and as you said roughly 5 months out of the year American idol goes on for, correct??? Time zones dont effect the base number of viewers, hours the show is on,or weeks. 2 X 4 x 5 (h X w X m) is 40 hours total x 13 million viewers, thats 520 millions combined watched hours. Gallup poll stats are mind boggling but interesting. Human nature is very basic and TV prey on that

Adam is great.He started with a bang and go on with the same type of performance all over again. It's like no special development at all. Everytime he sings, we can predict the outcome n results which is brilliant. I guess Americans r bored with it. Kris is the dark horse but he shows improvement every week especially his version of Heartless is so cool. I guess that is what Americans and I wanted to c -development. just because millions of americans are watching a 1-2hour show every tuesday and wednesday (if you havnt noticed thats only 2 times a week with a total of 2-4 hours of their life) doesnt mean they dont care about anything else. and i think they do have better things to do, but keep in mind that american idol is only on 2 times a week for 2-4 hours and only last about 5 months a year. honestly its not like its on for 10 hours a day everyday....... and if u have better things to do, why rant?

i agree as well, its only 2 hours a week, for 5 months, thats roughly 40 hours for a season. thats a FULL work week, multiply that times 30 MILLION VIEWERS average.(1.2BILLION hours) to watch (at first) Americas finest (sarcasm). About the ranting, i do gallup polls for a living, i see and report on what people do. This is just my way to vent, without prejudice to previous polls, and see the problems the US population faces because of product endorsements/ placements and impulse buying.
