@Janice11353 I think he said he fills up paper with colour first not to eliminate the whiteness of paper, but to establish which colour dominates the mixtures.

Recien descubrí a Castagnet y de inmediato se convierte en uno de mis referentes más claros. Alrededor del segundo 13 de este buen trailer, encuentro la primera lección: Un composición expresada con claridad en un excelente dibujo a lápiz que también tiene indicaciones de claroscuro (value study) lo que constituye un sólido cimiento. Si hay alguna verdad universal en la acuarela que narra lo que vemos es esa. Composición, dibujo, claroscuro, paleta, aguada y pincelada.
