In 1987-88, Lee Halpern was one of OLTL's most intriguing characters, and Janet Zarish did such a great job playing her. It was so disappointing when Lee was killed off in 1988 because she'd only just begun. She hadn't even been on the show for an entire year. For 2008, it looks like OLTL wanted to spend the year of its 40th anniversary featuring its best characters and storylines from the past. I was shocked but pleased to learn that Lee was included, even if she was killed off a second time.
I was thinking the same thing about Lee. She was a force to be reckoned with back in the day, and she would have told Todd to kiss her ass!!!! The writers are so biased in terms of the Mannings it is not even funny. It's like "we must write to make sure we make them look so strong and powerful and scary." Whatever. Lee was such a damn good character. It's a shame she was brought back just waste her. Literally and figuratively.
Janet Zarish was underused. OLTL could have used its rich history to develop her more here. I was hoping for some flashbacks. I mean, this is the same actress! it totally would have been great to see her from the 80s.
Actually, Renee would be calling her "Carol"; since she knows her from her days as Carol Harper-Dennison.
And what's up with this "Lee-the-Wimp" crap? What happened to Lee from the 80's? She sure as hell wouldn't have been afraid of Todd or anyone else. That woman was a TIGER; which is what made her a fan-favorite.
Hopefully, she's faking her death AGAIN and we will get to see her manipulating and machinating like she did back in the day!

Lee faked her death because she had swindled alot of people out of alot of money. last yr Lee ramsey the former police commissioner hired a nurse janet ketring who was really a very much alive lee to take care of marty who everyone thought was dead, well today its look like someone killed Lee again todd was laying on the floor with her dead body with the knife used to kill her is she really dead this time? only time will tell
Yep, TPTB blew it when she was killed off each time.
