Hello Sean, and hello all. I want to share with you a youtube source I discovered recently. An experienced GM "Roman Dzindzichashvili" has a a series of videos "Think and Play Like a GM". There he desribes, how in fact very simple the basic GM approach behind complicated positions at first sight. And he does it in a very simple, understandable language. Recommend you all. Good luck!
@MrZingnigga lol those old games of Morphy et al minus their rooks and here Bronstein obliges ,, there's a famous game that kc covered where he sac'd his bishop in the opening for a strong centre out Tal-ing Tal. - really dodgy looking like this rook sac but he justifies it OTB and if as Sean says the jury's still out what can you say?
(Sorcerer's Apprentice was the only chess book i'd bought til a few months ago -it's a gem). Cheers MrZ
Genius! Begs the question: what degree of certainty did Bronstein enjoy when he made the decision to sac his rook? Hard to believe he could calculate all the possible checks. Gutsy move.
beautiful game. Fantastic analysis.

Absolutely brilliant! Both the game and your analysis. Would love to see more of these.

at 2:27 why not take the knight on h5 instead of placing check with knight? that would stop the check from the white queen on g6?
Thanks for the videos

After Black takes the rook on g1, why can't Bronstein play Bfg and then Qh6?

At 2:47, why doesnt black just move his queen to c3?
ArmSor 6 months ago
@ArmSor After Qc3 check, Ng3 discovered check from the queen and after Kg8, Bf6 and there is no way for black to stop Qh8 which would be mate :)

Brilliant game! good work again Sean. This style of play reminds me of Kasparov, imo the master of sacrificing material for initiative :)

This is the definition of outskill. Bronstein could give his opponents piece odds and still win convincingly.
