  • A fire wall will come out cheaper. A satellite tech. is good. Then what we need to know is : electrical supply and HP pump, volume of water supply needed to sustain the time of burning. thanks!

  • The system runs off mains power with auto switching to battery backup in the event of outage. The pump is of course electric and is sized relative to the installation. The system is "intelligent" it uses water only when required. This is done to conserve water and minimise the size of the water tank. All the essential services have been sized to operate for considerably longer than any historic bushfire threat.

I hope this answers your questions.

  • What satellite are you using guys?

  • great idea james

  • Who is james?

  • Oh yeah that would be me!

  • Although this wasn't my idea dude, sorry to disappoint! I'd love to claim it though.

  • This system looks really interesting! Would be a necessary addition to any houses at risk from bush or wild fire. When will the system be commercially available?

  • Gr8 work. Australia really needs something like this.

  • the right system in the right time, good on you guys

  • Hi, yes we have spoken to one state authority and they are interested.

  • So their respnse was good?! Thats great, I have heard that the RFS in NSW prefers putting in a large fire break to active systems like this, you must have impressed them, keep at it!

  • How long have you been working on this? The satellite technology sounds cool. Can the system be controlled over the net?

  • Hello,

We've been developing this for 4 years. Yes, it can be controlled via the net, telephone, mobile or SMS.

  • Hi again, have you spoken with any of the fire authorities about this, I am sure that they would be keen to know about somthing like this!

  • Do you have a website for your product? I can't find anything on the net other than this.

  • Still working on the website

  • How long berfore you will have the website up and running?

  • Hi Jimbo

    Website is up and running

  • Yes but we also produced a promo DVD for distribution. We thought it more appropriate in 4:3 as it is still the most common TV/Monitor format.

  • This is a really great presentation. Your man did a fantastic job with the 3D modelling.

  • Could you guys tell me what program you used for the 3d Visuals?

  • Hello Jim.

    We used 3d Studio Max

  • Hey thanks for replying! I might have known, pretty popular program. Looks good. Why did you go with 4:3 though? You tube can handle 16:9 by the looks of it?

  • WOW WOW WOW. Well done that is brilliant. A truely inevative idea that has amazing potential specially in bush fire prone areas worlwide.

  • That said, would this system have value in urban areas perhaps? I have seen buildings with external sprinklers installed on them.

  • The system has been designed to protect against any external fire source, whether in urban, rural or bushland settings.

It can even protect infrastructure like mobile phone towers, military installations....etc
