There's more going on here than just a hilarious prank. The manager did not call out the parole officer for drinking. The manager did however point out the fact that the less educated and less respected interviewee brought the alcohol. The manager see's the parole officer as a respectable person to society, thus giving him a pass. The parole officers actions were not ignored simply because he wasn't applying for the position, it goes deeper than that.
