  • you are supposed to do them with shin pads.

  • @fromstart2finish Shin pads??? No that would defeat the purpose.

  • @Dwikkles

    but youll get shin splints

  • @fromstart2finish you do understand that shin conditioning works by giving micro fractures along your shins so as they heal the bone becomes tougher and thicker and after years they are as tough as stone

  • @fromstart2finish u only get shin splints if the calf muscle is too strong for the front part of the leg muscle to cope, so the bone starts to bend backwards a little

  • Why climb the banana tree....when you can make them come to you

Nice work holmes! Fuck all that tapping and rolling shit just pound that bag.

  • LOL at the old man in the background.

  • whats the bag filled with?

  • wow man 10000 bags!

  • Fourty!

  • @burnzbudz dont u get tired if u give tht thing so much kicks of course u would get ur hands down man cmon i know he gotta kick the bottom of the bag but this works 2 ;)

  • A mate of mine used to bring a large aerosol canister with him to work and roll it /strike his shins. Another used a rolling pin, I used humans, they are so soft and supple ;)

  • c'mon BABE 23 more...is that how many seconds you last in bed too? lmao i'm jk

  • Just started doing kickboxing on ny heavy bag in my garage. Have been told that you kick with your shins and not your feet as you may break them that way. But started using shins and my knee feels like pulling out as it puts more pressure on my knee. On top of that kicking with my shins prodcues my veins on my shin to swell up like golf balls, cutting my practice session short.

  • dude nice vid. and i bet yo girl is hot. dont listen to HATERS. keep it up mann

  • oooooo that shin is gonna hurt the next day

  • Oooo sorry i actually don't.

That was a few years ago at a different gym than i'm at now so I wouldn't be able to ask.

Gotta be something on Google about it. Nice bags for sure though.

  • Do you know where you can buy that brand of bag "PRO"?

  • i know it says no technique just "conditioning" you need to kick something harder then the bag dude, bannana tree, tires, 2x4's to cause the micro fractures you need to build a tough set of shins.

  • quality over quantity my friend, your form is a lil bit off, you plant your left leg too much which doesn't allow you to turn your hip over with more force.

  • thats the best shin hardening excersise better than wackn ur shin with a stick. good job bro! :)

  • lmao i kick couch arms

  • damn dude thats intense. Nice work man!

  • @keansyl

Thanks man. I'd like to think i've come a long way since then.

  • @Dwikkles I dont do muay thai or anything but im starting to kick the bags just for fun to condition my shins as well. It'll be a long time till i get to this stage probably. But yeah if this is what you did 2years ago you should definitely post some new vids up! And rejtan is an idiot for thinking that asians arent hot because they are, good job mate lol

  • how many of you were counting down at the end? :)

p.s. you need to rotate more on your standing foot. you got to snap it!. good work, keep it up.

  • I guess that one small portion of your shin will be fairly well conditioned- in the future you should kick trees.

  • damn,ur kicks r really hard.i do not want to take them, definetly not......

  • why are people talking about bag technique?? i think its fine o_o great work btw

  • nice one keep it up!

  • Is that your mother encouraging you in the video?

  • @rocketmotor01

Close....that would be my fiance...the extremely hot asian girl in my other videos that you wish you could get hahahaha

    douche

  • @Dwikkles asians aint hot.

  • @rejtan

OMG!!!!!!!!!! How dare you?!?! First person i've ever heard say that lol

Cool more for me i guess. What do you think IS hot?

  • @Dwikkles Usually asians are pig disgusting. Ugly faces and annoying personalities.

  • @Svittidiu What a douche bag. My woman is way better than any woman that has ever even spoken to you or breathed in your direction.

Whats up with your gay little queer bears? I'd like to shoot them and eat that meat.

  • @Dwikkles Wanna prove that? Post a video of your "extremely hot asian fiance." I wanna laugh at her ugliness after you do :)

  • @Svittidiu You dipshit there are about 3 videos up already of her shooting with me idiot. They've been there for years.

You want to be on the other end of those barrels?

  • @Dwikkles Oh, didn't notice it was a woman. Yea, she looks like a typical ugly asian woman. No offense of course. But hey, it's like they say, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder." Maybe you see something beautiful in her.

  • @Svittidiu Awwww sounds like somebody is a virgin and trying to hate on peoples women since he can't get one :(

Just go get some from your mother dude, i know she'll do it. She let me pretty easy. Anyways theres nothing wrong with being a virgin man. Just keep rubbing it on the cat like you've always done ;)

  • I dont understand your logic, train with bad technique? Thats like a sniper just shooting with his sights when the scope is right there.

  • @brandonbalistx

ummm....you don't think snipers do that? Trust me, they do. Regularly.

Every military personnel including snipers train with iron sights on a regular basis to prepare for optic failures.

I wouldn't completely disagree with you, just your comparison was horrible.

  • @Dwikkles you know what I mean though. But good work mate I was tired when I watched this video and rudely forgot to compliment your obvious hard work. I find when I am shin conditioning on my tire in the garage, I try to use as much technique as I can. Don't want to get any bad habits :) Nice work though bud keep it up.

  • no technique is right lol

  • @bartenderfromgod

Bet I could kick your ass lol

  • hahaha thats nothing to the things we do lol

we broke wood with our shin!!

  • @moe2744

    Sure ya did buddy :)

    We all believe you

  • he gonna be soar in the morning lol

  • u really don't need to actively "condition" your shins - just hitting pads and doing bag work will do it naturally over time.... and that timescale is far less than it would take to get ready for a first non-padded fight!

  • usually in taekwondo we go hiking bare foot to harden our feet and increase our muscles just like they do in muay thai

  • I agree with the technique while conditioning.. You can get pleanty of shin conditioning working technique while doing your other drills.. Bag work, thai pad work with hard thai pads, drills with shin pads on. Just so people dont start going off on me, Im a pro fighter, been training for 17 years and run my own gym with amateur and pro fighters. Ive never had to do hard or heavy shin conditioning bc my workout already had it in them, with technique.

  • you got some endurance going on! Nice work.

  • um how is this shin conditioning this poor technique conditioning

  • That's good training my only thought is that when You repeat something that many times regularly it becomes instinctive and although as you've said you're not training you're technique it will begin to become you're technique unless you practice you're technique equally or more than the conditioning. I think you would be best off conditioning with correct technique to help muscle memory.

  • can i train this everyday?

  • hoe needs to shut the fuck up

  • you shouldn't talk about ya mum like that. it's disrespectful

  • now the other leg

  • shut up bitch .... im sure he can count

go iron his fucking shirt ..

Don't dude i'm here with you

  • try kicking the bottom of the bag for this. It's got all the "dirty panties" settled to the bottom so it's harder than the middle portion.

  • would kicking a tree or a hard piece of wood be better for condition your shins?

  • yes, but begin from soft to hard, and not any tree or any piece of wood, that has to had some flexibility to absorbe the impact to dont get hurt, i recommend to begin kick a hevybag, after that kick a tire from a car o from a big truck or trailer, oviously the trailer tire its so hard, it hurts a lot (be careful with wires emerging when a tire is old).

  • nah, you'd get microfractures on your shin bone which actually weakens it. Muay Thai practitioners kick banana trees which are softer and lower the risk of injury

  • Microfractures heal, and your bone will grow stronger. That's the beauty of bones.

  • he's just conditioning

  • what a gal, huh? she's helping him with his workout

  • I think if he opened up his stance more, he could get more power from his hips.

  • read the title of the video genius, its bout shin conditioning, not about the power.. he is trying to get his shins tougher ... idiot

  • @yuhcgte brutal!! nice one

  • @yuhcgte I'm going to google shin conditioning later on today,so tell me: How does kicking the heavybag repeatedly condition the shin?

  • damn man thats good..i try haha but i only do 4 sets of 20 i dont know if thats good haha i need my shins to be hard..any other suggestions??

  • try kicking a plank that is sanded on the edges with rope tied around it. i punch this and kick it to condition my fist, forearm, instep, and shin.

  • Comment removed

  • I turn my planted foots heel toward the bag w/ the kick for power. Its like kicking through the bag.

  • Actually, your technique is not bad at all..

the ONLY thing is your hands being slightly low.. appart from that its good.

    Nice job

  • its actually not that great...leg kicks chop down his swing across like a kick boxing kick

  • yeh i know that, but its not like the worst kicks in the world...

u see some people who cant even use heir hips..

  • MOST people can't use their hips.

  • seriosuly is this how u condition ur shins?

I was in mma the other day doing thai and I kicked my mates knee with my shin, im telling u it fuckin killed, pulled a poker face but I couldve fucking tapped on the strength of it!

  • whats the name of their new gym?

and have u checked out the new no limits, its great, and more than three times the size of the old one.

  • Yeh that place is giant. But not interested. I don't care for the people there(including new trainers) and I was with Team Oyama before and want to stay with them.

The owner of No Limits is a major rip-off artist. He'll rob anyone blind given the chance..

  • is this at the old no limits by any chance?

  • Good eye man yes it is.

Old school video. About 2 years ago.

Team Oyama opened its own gym, which is where I'm at now. And much better these days i'd like to think :)

  • Keep your hands up, and use a heavier bag.

  • ooo your girlfriend recording you? XD

  • lol that's pretty cool. wish my girlfriend was interested in my muay thai training haha

  • thats how your suppose to do it! work on your cardio to! thats awesome man

  • Even when im conditioning I try to keep perfect form (as much as possible when your dieing lol) just so it stays in you mucle memory. My Kru always makes me pay when I get to sloppy haha

  • Now why would you call me an idiot you dipshit when you dont even know me. Why would that be the 1st thing out of your mouth?

You just made it obvious that you're one of those losers that goes around the internet criticizing people on stuff you can't do yourself because you want to mae it look like you know something. Go play some video games ya virgin punk.

  • time to drink some red bull (H)

  • enthusiatic for a beginner like me

  • NOW THATS GOOD CONDIONING no buts or maybes lol your shins are defo dead to the touch lol bet theirs no pain in your shin

  • Dam dood that was really good.

Ive never tried to just go continously like that.

Im gonna try that next time im doin mma! lol

    pretty sick

  • how much does the bag weigh?

  • awesome! great endurance

  • How long have you been doing this for? That takes both mental and physical stamina. Good job!

If that doesn't hurt you I don't know what does :P

  • Good job. Move to kicking trees soon. Osu

  • Just wanna say that i train muay thai and i wanna say thanks for putting the video up, even though some insecure pricks thinh your stoking your ego it actually helps a fellow thai boxer see some other peoples takes on various techniques when someone puts these videos up, Thats the purpose.

Im sorry you got such shitty comments man off some people, why do they even look at your video if they dont like what they see.

It would be nice to square of with such pricks huh, nice vid man.

  • very very nice

  • try left leg, and altho most people say this hurts, i do this every once in a while and yes it hurts in the beginning but later on, i start to feel the heat and the fact that i get tired more then the bone nerves actually breaking, srsly dunno y?

  • this is good condintioning tho lol, but 50 the lactic acid begins to build up and the contact stays solid

  • Osu, very nice.

  • ouchhhh, good job.. id be crying if i kicked that hard, for that long =) i only just started though

  • i dont think people realize how much that would hurt if ur shins weren't conditioned.

    Good job

  • How long you do that for?

  • try filling the bag with sand then when ya gotten use to kicking the sand bag wet the cunt klike kicking fuking rock hurts like fuk hahaha

  • I think he should use a heavyer bag or have someone hold that one. Seems to be not breaking a swet lol

  • dude your hitting with both parts of the shin, your only hitting with the lower part of the shin, work on both!

  • i have a question: which part of the shin is hitting the oppenent's thigh? top or bottom?? Thanks.

  • below the knee

  • the low shin is the "sweet spot" your gravity or force when throwing a well placed kick seems to leave a stunning impact with the lower portion of the shin is point of contact

  • if you were in soccer, it would be ur shin guard.

  • if you want to help the healing process, bind your shins with a towel doused in VERY hot water, then roll out the bruises, rubbing them while they are cold clots up the blood, you need to calcify the bone and deaden the nerve endings, not damage the skin to have it heal. Also use tar and rope to roughen the outer skin.-compliments of Keo siacmiachi 2 time lumpini bantamweight champion at FKA

  • yeah, i've been doing that with a regular punching bag.. and it gets kinda hard.. i dono how bad it is for me.. but i just did it a day ago and my shins are still a little sensitive.. i'ma go head and say this isn't normal or good? i dono if i need to find a different way of conditioning or what.. and i don't have access to a real thai bag. any suggestions?

  • Yeh if they feel a little bit bruised then thats about normal.Although you wanna try to avoid pushing it that far cause it takes a while to heal.I know it sounds funny but try rubbing the inside of banana peels on your shins.Ive done it.Ya know the regular punching bag will work for now.The only diference is the weight but if you hit it fairly hard it'll give the same affect. If its canvas, that just rubs and hurts your skin more.If so just wrap duct tape around the kicking area to smooth it out.

  • what's rubbing banana peels on my shins goin to do? help the healing process or what? :o

  • Yeh speeds it up. No clue why. I was told to do it and it did SEEM to help speed it up, but don't quote me scientifically on that. Something about the potassium.

  • if you can get your hands on a rolling pin, you can roll out the bruises or hematoma that build up on the shin, binding them with boiling water will deaden the nerve endings after your shin has calcified, this will turn your shin into a blugeon

  • Hey im 13 i just started muay thai , im roll my shins with a rolling pin , how long should i do it for?

  • in sets of 5 - 10 minutes the hardiness depends on the current condition of your shins

  • Thankz man I alredy been doin it for 10 minutes

  • when do you bind them with boiling water and roll them out...is it RIGHT after you are done or is it a day or two

  • i would give your shins a few hours, but when your going to roll them out, be generous when applying pressure this is to deaden the nerve endings, the brute force on the bag and striking of your shins is to calcify the done itself

  • What is that binding your shins in about.

    Can you explain please

  • those are ankle supports

  • rolling is also to remove the blood contusions under your skin.

  • thats some serious shit man.. Ive just started muay thai i want to get my shins in order, what would you recommend staring of ? i have a bag but it aint heavy enough.

  • Cool man.

Yeh pretty much you wanna pound away on something soft enough to not damage or bruise your shins but hard enough to provide good resistance. Like a heavy, firm bag. Just hit it as hard as you can stand w/o hurting terribly bad. And hit it at least 100 times on each leg. Consistency

  • Nice one.. 100 times a day each leg will get me started.. Cheers mate..

  • Hahaha there's always a critic

  • You'll get knocked out dropping your hands like that, and you need to turn your hip over more your kicking with all leg. Practice good form all the time or you'll develop bad habits.

  • these are rice bags are they not?

  • That ones about 125 lbs

You're looking for a Thai Bag bud.

Check Fairtex or Combat Sports International. Or even Craigslist.

  • what weight is that bag do u know?? cos i want 2 get a heavy one and that 1 looks good!

is there a special name for them or is it just 'heavy bag'

  • btw the earlier comment is directed to our very own 'keyboard warrior', ghost 4118.

  • Hahaha yeh man I couldn't have said it better myself.

  • good job man keep up the good work and just ignore people that talk shit they probably dont even train muay thai they just like to talk to act smart

  • Im going to find your girlfreind who ever she I going make blead and scherm my name.

  • I see you just sit at home and talk shit and never do anything. What'r you like 14-15 or so?

You never get laid do you buddy? Or have you EVER been?

Let's set something up now or I'll block you cause I dont waste my time on the fucking internet. I'm an adult.

ur a joke..i agree with Dwikkles, though i think ur actually a 30 yr old virgin whose only experience with a pussy is coming out of one.

tell u what, go jerk off and stop polluting this comment page u 2 cent faggot.

btw, great job on the video.i been using the heavy bag to condiiton my shins too, n all i can say is..damn.. =S

  • Dont trie me you mother fucker.

  • I'm tryin bitch! Learn some fucking respect boy I have NO problem teaching it to you the hard way!

Do something or shut up you internet tough guy hack!

  • Reply to my coments you peice of shit.

  • Only one way to find out.

You gonna stand behind the shit you talk?

  • when shin conditioning use good technique or use the technique u would use in the cage or ring because ur not gonna throw a kick with bad technique just so u dont break ur shin

  • Yeh mostly people who have no clue but like to sound like they do.

I try not to speak on things unless I have extensive personal experience in it.

    Thanks though.

  • damn so many people talk shit. lol. ive just started conditioning. to bad i dont have a heavy bag. i have a free standing heavy bag filled with foam. not exactly conditioning. i roll a bottle across my shins. best of luck bro. keep it up

  • so many morons commenting on this video, saying he has bad technique and hes fake mma-er? read the description hes conditioning his shin bone so it doesnt break when kicking with it

  • Hardening my shins-Muay Thai style. No technique, just conditioning repeat no technique!!!!

  • Thats right. Exactly like eeeevery other related video in the side bar there.

    Even the Thai ones.

  • Ahhhh man you're obviously a wannabe that is feeling a little insufficient while at my page.

So you go around talking shit on the internet cause you can't live up to your own expectations in real life. What a shame.

Cause we both know DAMN well that you wouldn't have the heart or balls to talk like that to my face.Sad little boy.

Tell your mother I say hi ;)

  • fake mmaer. let me guess you wear tapout tshirts to make yourself look badass.

  • You wanna try me Mother F**ker???

    You wanna test that theory?

Are you pissed cause I can do the things you wish you could do and get the women you wish you could get?

  • Guy's go look at this jerkoff's page. He looks like the real authority, right?

    LMAO pussy

  • LMAO pussy. Look at your page. You put these videos up to stroke your ego. I've seen Taliban better trained then you. Now I call you fake soldier + fake mmaer. You fail.

  • wow youtube call outs at its best

  • stampeders is wrong because when you kick you lean back for balance and more power, if you lean back you´re not in stricking range

    ;)

  • Yes he is wrong.

You do not put your lead arm in front of you for a proper Thai round kick. Your rear hand(in my case my left when throwing a right kick) will cover one side of my chin, while my shoulder(right in this case) will cover the other side as I turn it over along with my hips for power.

My arm goes behind me for balance.

We all on the same page now?

  • Theres like 50000000000 different ways to throw a roundhouse kick, no ones wrong and no ones right. I dont know how to do a MuayThai roundhouse, but in all fairness he wasent wroking on technique, he was banging his shin agenst the bag so it gets harder. Now I wanna see a broken down version of the MuayThai roundhouse lol Know any good vids?

  • no problem. What I like to do when I'm not at my gym is take a pvc pipe to them. Like if I get a chance to sit and watch tv I'm hitting my shins and elbows.

  • when you condition it would be a good idea to use proper technique, you can hit with different parts of your shin. might as well hit with the right part.

  • Yes you're right. My Coach set me straight on that about 8 months ago. Thanks though.

  • nice bro!

dont forget your other leg though haha ;)

  • Good good work man. I wouldent like to get kicked by one of those

  • I use a hard hanging rapped sand bag that is 2 foot long, and 5 inches wide, its rapped with paper and tape. it makes my shins like rock, also i have knicked some road work bags off the street, also good for thai conditioning, and I am going to make hard paper pads with sand around my tree to tuffen my shin, to make my my shin, and harden my body, I use all things i can make, i cant afford to go club so i make do with what i have or can make.

  • same here bro clubs are expensive. I kick a tier and work on some pvc pipe

  • Yeah theres a few bags like that at my gym, that are a lot harder than the normal ones. They're great for shin conditioning

  • when you kick you shouldbe pushing your right arm out straight and not down, this way you protect your head. I know you are just conditioning but practise makes perfect

  • Nice shin conditioning training!

  • Ahahahaha!

Bro I have great technique.I'm only doing that cause its conditioning and no technique is required.I have other videos on my page to prove that.

Don't be so quick to judge people who could probably teach you.

  • horrible technique.. pivot your anchor foot to open your hips and increase power and keep your gaurd up!! good fitness tho..
