No, in reality, there were nuts and bolts falling, but he saw them as gold. The nuts and bolts are the objects that held the roof together. Thats why he gets crushed at the end.

I didnt even get this.. I got him askin for the zone to disappear then he appeared in a meadowland and when he opened is eyes they were pure white.. STANGE ASSED GAME I hope there is more to it..
