You don't only have to shoot it.

I swinged the platform back and forward until it had enough speed to get over the longest part of the ramp, then i shot it a few times and there it was...

ive been stuck trying to get the platform up the slope,so i can reach the gold reward for about an hour.. honestly do feel like smashing my xbox haha :)

Year, if you don´t press the button fast enough, the platform will not up the slope, you rave to press the buttons REALLY REALLY fast to get it up.
