  • It's so quiet, you wouldn't imagine the army used it. :) Beautiful.

When you filmed that shot of your van from the wood, I half expected it to get blown up or soldiers to emerge from the trees with weapons trained on you.

You'll never see the sky like that again, I bet!

  • Yeh...Silence is Golden.

  • Rick, if you haven't done so already, you should look into putting some uploads on/ having a listen to the sounds on Freesound, org . You also may want to post your DIY windscreen instructions and/or links to your ready-to-use version on eBay. By the way, if you ever get the chance to visit the training grounds again, it wouldn't be a bad idea to do some rolling sounds of spent grenade canisters/tossing/impact sounds of the like. Only do this if the striker lever/handle has been removed.

  • Silence can be truly Golden!

  • Reminds me of a Steve windwood song.

  • Where is this from London? I'm in the state of Arkansas in the US.

  • @Castleknight its located in south west England - nowhere near London.

  • Live grenade? This area, apparently is open to the public, as well as the Briitsh army?

  • @Castleknight Yes, they have warning signs everywhere saying do not touch any munitions you may find!

  • @SuperSexyBoiGod lol funny observation, but rickvanman is almost like a character that exists only on youtube, where as rick clarke is a real person in the real world that we dont actually get to see... and as youtube viewers we only get to see rickvanman - well thats how i see it anyway. :)

  • there electrolights

  • @SuperSexyBoiGod I take pride in not conforming to the moulds of 'normal' expectations, and it's great fun when people want to stick labels on me but are unsure which category or pigeon hole to put me in. :P

  • Nice video!

  • Cool

  • SALISBURY PLAIN.....Rick doesn't Salisbury Plain have a lot of history connected to it? It seems I read about it in my history book back in school many years ago.

    John

    San Antonio

  • @johnny102marvin Not sure John - It's been used my the army for years for all sorts of training, I'm unaware of any history beyond that.

  • @SuperSexyBoiGod He runs his own printing business which he is slowly downsizing, to concentrate on his web projects. I believe he spoke about a printing business in a previous video - correct me if I'm wrong :)

  • @tylerfrankling That's bang-on Tyler :o) you know me well!

  • That place seems so peaceful

  • You said not a cloud in the sky but I saw a few clouds! Did you LIE to me!?

Also, you didn't hope I was having a great time today, but I guess I am a rebel because I had a great day ANYWAY!! Hah! Take that, non-catch-phrase-sayer!!

Taking a walk in Richmond Park tomorrow, so I will have great day twice in a row!

  • Hi Rick, I've been following your videos for a while now and I can see more and more that you are becoming spiritually awakened. I was wondering do you have any video equipment for sale, something to get a fellow on a tight budget started? TIA

  • nice. i like the place the sound of the birds.. everything, its so nice.

    see you next video.

  • I just got back from a spectacular walk through the local orchard. All the Cherry trees are in bloom, and it is just spectacular. Here in Canada there are a few more hills & mountains then there are over there across the pond in the UK.

    Great video Rick!

  • @goldenjabba I love the mountains! I'm sure parts of Canada can seem like a paradise in the right weather.

  • @rickvanman I should dust off my video camera and nab some footage. I need to build one of those handy wind-blockers though :)

  • Well done rick cool video, hope you still have clear blue skies
