No offense to people who play five string,I mean fieldy is fucking god,but I prefer 4 string,because not only is it easier to play,I think they are somewhat lighter,easier to slap on,and are have more of a muddy tone. People just don't get how hard bass is. That's the reason they under appreciate it. And with bands such as Disturbed, Slipknot, Linkin Park and Lamb of God it's like there is no bass. You need to strain your ear to be able to hear it, qwhich you shouldn't have to. But bands like KoЯn, Tool, Primus, A Perfect Circle and Mudvayne you can hear their bass clearly.
