. . . i think one of the problems as to why you encounter so my near misses is that evn though your a cyclist you are experienced enough to travel at and above the 30 mph speed limit, therefore making yourself an unknown quantity to 99% of Brain-Dead car drivers.

Brilliant! I've had the similar in the same width of cycle lane, but where there was only 6 inches of tarmac visible between snow and white line. It was -7, very unusual for Cambridge.
It's very handy how they have provided those nicely marked red warning area's to shovel that snow and ice into, very good forward planning by the local council ;-) I thought it was bad at the start but when she "gets the horn" it's completely blocked!
Bizarrely I've now got Neil Young's "Harvest" in my head because of the line "Did she wake you up to tell you that It was only a change of plan ?" - it was her determination to successfully overtake you and admonish you, even if when she finally managed, it was only to immediately join the end of the queue she must encounter every single day ...

The promise advertised to car buyers is unfettered freedom, the reality is an orgy of self indulgence that prevents it. So they act like the middle eastern dictators they really aspire to be, lashing out at anyone who seems vulnerable or not taking part in the delusion. Anything but admit they are part of the problem.

Someone I work with yesterday drove about 9 miles to Darford from Gravesed to the Bridge. the journey back to Tilbury on the other side, rather than get the ferry that does the short hop across. His exccuse well where me misses wanted to go is in the town not by the docks. Yes strangely pantomomimes take place in towns rather than the docks. small town Free bus link

Ive had to come up to glasgow for a week, had to commute in and out of the city for 5 days its terrible I have to set off at 7:30 to make it 5 miles to the center if I lived there I'd definatly cycle. This is good proof, it was bloody cold the last 3 days you do well.......
