I know that there are many possibles reasons or ways on why most parents are causing Shaken Baby Syndrome but my Nurturing the Young Child teacher says the main cause and reason for Shaken Baby Syndrome is serious frustration and stress of either the father or mother. if u are telling me i am incorrect about this! Four years later, I was watching the local news and a story update of this precious little boy had aired. He has never fully healed from this horrific abuse, and has significant brain damage and will never completely recover from what his evil mom did to him. She has been sitting in a state prison for the past 4 years!
This breaks my heart greatly. I can't stop crying over this precious little girl, McKynzee. This reminds me of a precious little 2 year old boy who was admitted in the hospital where I worked at the time because he was severly abused & shakened by his evil mom. After my 12 hour shift, I volunteered to sit with him as he lay in PICU unconscious and whimpering. I layed hands over this precious little boy and prayed for healing and recovery.
If I ever came across that MoFo at anypoint in my life i would probably try to kill him.. Whathe did to that precious angel is beyond terrible. I had a fussy baby.. He was completely miserable. He had acid reflux terrible and I was so frustrated and i kept thinking O god I cant do this.. But I would lay him on his side and walk away.. its better to leave a child and walk away than to lift a fist in anger. Its ok to admit to loved ones you need help.

While emotional passion and the actions it provokes are foolish undertakings, I don't believe that shaking a baby to death is any more (and probably less) than voluntary manslaughter - not a serious crime. Likewise, I encourage you to rein in your emotions and only look from a logical perspective.

I'm not in favor of the decision, the wrong doing of the father should be penalized. The life of the child is the one destroyed here and not his life. Hope justice will prevail for Mckynzee. Mental disability of a person committing a crime should had consideration to what had been the outcome of it.
Looking at McKynzee's newborn picture with her eyes open. You can see the wisdom in her eyes. She looked so bright, like she could go far in life. But the man who shook her. He took away McKynzee's chances of securing her own bright future one day.

@TheLadyRevenge that is an understatement. do you know what all he did? he shook her, hit her hard on the back of the head 5 times, squeezed her stomach until her liver ruptured, and punched her. he broke her pinky finger, killed off 40% of her brain cells, broke her arm and leg, and caused her liver to bleed so badly she needed a blood transfusion. her skull also had multiple fractures and her arm was broken in 2 places. she had a high level of pressure/fluid on her brain. survival rate: <5%.

my baby is 6 weeks old he is very strong already he is always lifting his head then he hits its on my chin chest or shoulder while i am burping him. I have no idea if it could result like shaken baby syndrom.sometimes his head flings foward I am like so frightened for head injuries. I support his neck and head but hes like a spider when i am burping him. My doctor isnt any good she barely looked at him and looked at me like i was crazy when brought it up to her I cant find any info on this
@butters174 well, Granted babies are fragile, they're still able to withstand normal everyday interactions like this. Shaken baby syndrome is like putting an egg in a jar and shaking it like a maraca. now matter how hard you try to support a babies head, they find a way to jerk away from you. I personally believe that its a good sign they're trying to grow and learn. you're baby will be fine, but if your doctor is not taking your thoughts and concerns seriously FIND A NEW DOCTOR. don't settle.

@butters174 I know your baby is bigger now but nothing can cause shaken baby syndrome except actually shaking a baby vioulently so don't worry my son did that too and I was terrified as well, but I found out that you can't commint sbs without actually shaking the child, not even playing. You can google shaken baby syndrome they have lots of sites where they tell you what it is and some symptomes... Don't Worry about your baby bobbing his head :)

how could the father not have been locked up i dont see how any court could say that he is fit to live in our community for doing something like this as this little girl is never going to stop feeling this pain hope he does get locked up and has a life sentence then maybe he will think about what he has done to his little girl who should make him a proud father maybe if he had to raise her he may feel her pain but he shouldnt be left who knows if he will do this again it could happen

This breaks my heart greatly. I can't stop crying over this precious little girl, McKynzee. This reminds me of a precious little 2 year old boy who was admitted in the hospital where I worked at the time because he was severly abused & shakened by his evil mom. After my 12 hour shift, I volunteered to sit with him as he lay in PICU unconscious and whimpering. I layed hands over this precious little boy and prayed for healing and recovery.

He had acid reflux terrible and I was so frustrated and i kept thinking O god I cant do this.. 2 things that bother me.
1. While emotional passion and the actions it provokes are foolish undertakings, I don't believe that shaking a baby to death is any more (and probably less) than voluntary manslaughter - not a serious crime. Likewise, I encourage you to rein in your emotions and only look from a logical perspective.
2. It is really irritating how you refer to the children as becoming angels. Accept the death up front, and you shall make peace with the past.

I'm not in favor of the decision, the wrong doing of the father should be penalized. The life of the child is the one destroyed here and not his life. Hope justice will prevail for Mckynzee. Bless her little heart :~( I have a friend whose son is in this condition due to an incompetent doctor in childbirth. It is so sad, but he is very loving and sweet and brings his mom a lot of joy. @TheLadyRevenge that is an understatement. do you know what all he did? he shook her, hit her hard on the back of the head 5 times, squeezed her stomach until her liver ruptured, and punched her. he broke her pinky finger, killed off 40% of her brain cells, broke her arm and leg, and caused her liver to bleed so badly she needed a blood transfusion. her skull also had multiple fractures and her arm was broken in 2 places. she had a high level of pressure/fluid on her brain. survival rate: <5%.

my baby is 6 weeks old he is very strong already he is always lifting his head then he hits its on my chin chest or shoulder while i am burping him. I have no idea if it could result like shaken baby syndrom.sometimes his head flings foward I am like so frightened for head injuries. I support his neck and head but hes like a spider when i am burping him. My doctor isnt any good she barely looked at him and looked at me like i was crazy when brought it up to her I cant find any info on this

@butters174 well, Granted babies are fragile, they're still able to withstand normal everyday interactions like this. Shaken baby syndrome is like putting an egg in a jar and shaking it like a maraca. now matter how hard you try to support a babies head, they find a way to jerk away from you. I personally believe that its a good sign they're trying to grow and learn. you're baby will be fine, but if your doctor is not taking your thoughts and concerns seriously FIND A NEW DOCTOR. don't settle.

@butters174 Oh no. I understand that you are worried but that doesn't harm him. shaken baby syndrom is meant by not shake babies head, because the brain is still small then his actual head. My 18 months old hurt her head many times by falling of something or fall of the potty. I'm sure your baby is fine. you must not over stressed. good luck

@butters174 I know your baby is bigger now but nothing can cause shaken baby syndrome except actually shaking a baby vioulently so don't worry my son did that too and I was terrified as well, but I found out that you can't commint sbs without actually shaking the child, not even playing. You can google shaken baby syndrome they have lots of sites where they tell you what it is and some symptomes... Don't Worry about your baby bobbing his head :)

@butters174 even though your son may have exhibited behaviors like shaking/jerking his head, i dont think they would consider that shaken baby syndrome. shaken baby syndrome is caused by another person shaking a baby causing damage to the head/brain.

Praying for this angel and her mother...NO parent should have to go through their angel's life being ruined at the hands of someone else...Especially someone that SHOULD care for that child as well.

watching this video breaks my heart to see that there are some heartless and coward men out there that would hurt a young helpless baby. And to know on top of it the he never spent a day in prison makes me so sick to my stomach. My heart goes out to Mckynzee and her family. I am a new mother, my daughter is 4 months yrs old and this why I'm afraid to leave her with other people even her own father because of that fear that someone may shake her. People need to be more informed about this.
