MS didnt get involved until they smelt success. Game Dev is tough work, you need money at the beginning of the project, it wasnt MS money or backing. Halo made the xbox (for me).

sorry for hating. I was a competitive Q3-player for years, when I play on a console I feel crippled. things like autoaim kill every competition though I do know it's impossible to play an FPS on a console with out these aids.

I don't think the problem is the console, it's the mouse that's missing. playing on a PC is not complicated. once you got into it, it just feels natural.

did you ever see a pro-player play q3 or warcraft 3? what those guys do is impossible on a console... ever.

@snipers512 Torrent it, took me about 2-3 hours to download but it was worth it, great game. I played it on a Powerbook G4 Mac OSX 10.5.8, I think Bungie still sells the game on its' website for $50, but for a decade-old game that's ridiculous.

This would seem like a better idea than a FPS because an RTS where you could explore the entire halo ring without any thing limiting you seemed like a better idea. If Microsoft had not bought Bungie, this would go according to plan, as announced and shown in the trailer.
