  • Awesome review bro!

  • @iowndunoob - Thanks, my friend!

  • thats a lot of nives be hind u

  • suscribed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Now that's a knife! Awesome battle-blade! Zombies beware!

  • With a hollow grind that blade could only be used for fighting, slicing or kitchen work, nothing heavy duty.

  • @SeriousKnives - Yeah. I don't think they sell it as a heavy work knife.

  • @SeriousKnives Thats not entirely true. Take the cold steel SRK for example.

  • Holy CRAP! That is a lot of knives. I'm subscribing to you for that merit alone.

Nice knife BTW. I love the handles on that line.

  • @weaselunit123 - Thanks, welcome, Weasel.

  • Awesome review!

Do you think this knife would be good for camping/hiking trips? I don't want to take a knife with me that's gonna break if i need it. Of course i wont be smashing it against a rock or a tree, but I'd like it to be able to put it through it's paces lol

  • @MrGuitarNGuns - This one is more of a fighter, I would check out the Ka-Bar Becker Magnum Camp Knife, that's a great one for the outdoors.

  • What about a for a no budget fighting knife what would you recomend?

    -Rager

  • @MrSirRagealot - Well you could get a Custom Busse fixed blade, they are pricey, I don't have one, but a lot of people swear by them.

  • Wow I want.

  • @Thewondercube -Thanks, Wonder

  • how do u afford all these weapons?

  • @lanemerrill - Education, work, and wise investments.

  • Master, I am trying to explain the differences and pros and cons of stainless knives vs carbon steal knives to my nephew. We were looking for a good video on it, but we could not find a decent one. I'm requesting a video being made by you to touch on this topic. That way I don't have to search for 20 videos to explain it to my nephew. I'm hoping you will be able to knock it out of the park in one or two vids. Thank you so much for your efforts.

  • @KnifeAddic - I will see what I can do. But, basically, a lot of knife users prefer carbon steel for outdoor knives, especially large ones. Carbon steel is less resistant to rust, but it is generally very tough, durable, and easy to re-sharpen. This is why ESEE, Ontario, Tops, and Ka-bar make a lot of their large outdoor survival or work knives from carbon steels.

  • @KnifeAddic A high carbon steel blade is going to take a sharper edge and have better edge retention. High carbon steel can usually take more stress on the blade. I do believe it is more likely to chip, where as stainless tends to roll on the edge. Stainless is rust resistant to a point depending upon the steel. In lower quality stainless knives, its harder to sharpen. High carbon steel is ideal for bushcraft and a stainless blade is better for EDC tasks.

  • Respond to this video... thanx man. i already have a couple of beckers though and they are great knives

  • Respond to this video... hey, me again. i just had a few questions about the jungle primitive cuz i'm thinking about buying 1. i do alot of hunting and stuff so i wanted to know how it performs overall. how durable is it? does it come pretty sharp and how well does it keep its edge? what are its real limits? i figured that if anybody could give me a real expert opinion it would be you

  • @kalebday95 - The Jungle Primitive has the same handle as this knife. It is sort of a small machete-knife. Remember, it is part of SOG's budget line, so it not the ultimate knife for anything, for $40. The durability and edge-holding are average, maybe a B or B+ if you want to rate them. But, you sound worried! If you're that worried, I'd recommend going for a ESEE knife, or a Ka-bar Becker, both those lines are more durable!

  • hey man great review could u reccomend a NON MADE IN CHINA knife that is pretty much like this in design size and all that but better quality like about $100 and maybe serrated thanks :) p.s AWESOME COLLECTION

  • awesome knife and great collection and display

  • @kalebday95 Hey thanks Kaleb

  • In convinced, In getting one

  • @JackTheGripper1985 - Congrats! I'm glad you found a knife to suite your needs.

  • Nice as all hell as you'd put it :D

  • Damn dude. You've got so many weapons.

  • omg so awesome~!!! (might be more suitable for camping...versus a bear.....maybe? imean..what's the chance i'll be able to use this in city and not get stares?)

anyway, which website/store did you get this from!??!??!?! now that i watched your review, i'm this close to actually buying it

  • @driftworld86 - Yes it is more for outdoor use, too big to carry around city or burbs, got it at amazon(dot).com. I'm glad you found something you like.

  • @calibanvideo Well you know I don't design the knives, I only review them. If people think SOG makes knives that are too big, they should tell SOG and maybe SOG will stop.

  • @calibanvideo Thanks, just trying to get more people into the hobby of collecting as well as using blades as tools and into firearms as well.

  • Excellent presentation. Amongst the best.

  • @monkeyedge1 thanks monk!

  • Damn, look at all the weapons in the background. Someone's ready for the zombie apocalypse.

  • @TreyColwell Heck yeah you know it, bro!

  • Great review! That is one MEAN blade ... !

  • Good review Sensei, really bad-ass looking blade. Might have to pick one of those up.

  • Great review, awesome nice for a great price.

  • Jeesh Israel you get a new knife everyday? Wow, any chance you wana give me that jungle warrior?? Lol j/k your collection is getting huge!! I remember when your walls were bare LOL

  • Cool review.... Love the "Man-cave" you got going there!

  • Israel, Brother, you're gonna need a wide view lens pretty soon, you're running out of space on the wall that the camera can see:D that's a sexy knife, I would like a better sheath though. Either way you're getting a lot for the money. Take care

  • This reminds me of the knife from troy! A small agile nimbol fighting knife, if the price drops I will buy this one for sure !! Too high priced for me, the jungle primitive is amazing as well!! Yes more of a survival knife as you say, I would take this as a survival knife as well it's big strong and great for defense !! I like a long point for a defense knife!

  • you had me going for a second there about the blood lol :D

  • Knives need blood. HaHa.

  • who DOESN'T need a fighting knife?! haha

  • I must say I like that blade shape, an 18" short sword version would be awesome!

  • holy balls i want that knife...

  • Loved the review, recently found your channel, very exciting vids, martial art and humor mixt, lots and lots of knowledge, I will defently promot your channel, thanks to give youtube viewer a glimps of a life dedication, respecfully, thank you!

  • @cadrician Hey thanks man, I'm glad you're find some good info-tainment over here! ~Israel

  • I've been noticing a glaring fault in my collecting. I don't have a large fixed blade. My only fixed blade is the coldsteel steel tiger. So I need a blade I can maybe use for survival tasks and/or killing shit. I'm thinking this baby might fit the bill and not be boring like maybe just an essential blade. I'll check the other sits you mentioned. Maybe they are veterans suited for my "uses". Another great review. We need a comparison of cordura, nylon, ballistic nylon, and such

  • I was about to buy this, but the 'made in China' stigma stopped me. Regardless, I have fine blades from China, so I'll probably get the Jungle Warrior. The design caught my eye a few days ago, and I would totally pay double the price if the quality went up.

I laughed at the joke about blood by the way. This sounds sick of me, but I feel like the knife is mine once it gives me a little cut... By accident, of course. -_-

  • That spartan sword in the back, is it sharp?

  • @eliporf Nah the Spartan sword was only $30, it didn't come super sharp, but of course it can be sharpened :]

  • @WeAllJuggleKnives is the primitive better then the warrior

  • @timsaurusrex In my opinion, no.

  • listen up israel. i've got a question. i am looking for an all purpose knife thats not to heavy on my wallet. would you recomend this knife to me? if not: which one would you recommend.

  • @BuecherFuerAlle I would recommend the Ontario SP-43, for dual purpose. This SOG is more just a fighter. ~Israel

  • Very nice, it's on my to get list.

  • Very very nice.... i like the primitive !

  • great review! 8cr13mov has served me well in small folders. I wonder how well it will work in a large blade like this. please let us know over time if you get a chance to do some further testing. Thanks!

  • uhh i want one O_O

  • ontario would make a knife the same size in the U.S.A for the same price! that's why i hate sog knives. they make everytyhing in china, then charge an arm and a leg for it because they think they're that cool. i have a seal pup, hate it, way over paid. have a sogfari machete, it chipped in my backyard! they need to get over themselves.

  • What is the Blade thickness?

    Pete

  • @moparmanpete - SOG lists the blade thickness as 0.19 inches. ~Israel

  • @WeAllJuggleKnives Ok Thank you

    Pete

  • Good review as usual!

    +++++

  • After dealing with SOG over the phone (twice)... giving them a suggestion... their attitude has kept me from ever buying another one of their products. SOG is the new Gerber.... was good.. now made in China junk!

  • @shazzzam79 I've definitely heard that their SOGfari Machete is having a lot of quality issues.
