iv just got one and im a bit of a noob one there can eneyone tell me if i can download sounds like a7x ,crazy train and some other solo sounds on my computer and put it on my POD2.0 if you can tell me can you make a vid showing me how to do it THANKX =)

Can you plug the Pod Straight into a speaker, and not need an amp?

@bassface17 I go college and i stay at my grandmothers house and i use this with standard Computer speakers 2.1 stereo its awesome!

Same sound engine, same sounds. Pod 2.0 is an old product, Pocket Pod was an updated, smaller sized, version.  Pod XT and then POD X3 superseeded the POD 2.0

Okay, i got a Line 6 Spider 3 , and i bought this one today, but when im gonna play it through the amp, i feel that the presets on the AMP , MIXES with the presets and custom tones on the POD , is it just me, or ?

How do i solve it ?

And one more thing ; When you are gonna plug in your Ipod, what cable do you need to connect ?

Cause, i cant figure it out ! :)

Well, I know on my POD xt, I just turn on my Spider with the "Clean" channel on and all the knobs turned to 12 o clock (except effects knobs obviously). But on the xt, you can adjust how you want the sound to come out of the POD to match correctly with the amp (which is being used as an external speaker)

ofc they do.. :) Pickups will always have something to say about your sound... Well in 95% of the cases anyways :)

The usb feature sucks as when I bought it and went to the line6 website to install Librarian Editor Software, it was a pain in the ass to find. Had to install seperate software like Grease Monkey and Vyzex, really annoying, especially when you want to install software and get going with pc editing. Not convenient at all, plus, website support really sucks. I'm better off buying a seperate usb mixer and plugging it to the Pod's "direct out headphones 1/8" jack & using mixer to finally mix sounds.

Your amp will work just set it up to run clean and use the distortion from the POD.

if you already have pod 2.0 you don't really need pocket pod because it has the exact same effects. But if battery power is important for you then you can make yourself a battery pack for your pod 2.0 for just a few bucks (very cheap battery holder and a cable with the right plug). As for zoom g2.1u i've tested both- pocket pod and zoom g2.1u in a music store on the same guitar and headphones and default presets in zoom are just horrible comparing to line6.

come on, pod 2.0 isn't that big..shure,pocket pod fits in your POCKET but what's the point when you still have to carry a guitar... It could be a better choice for someone who would have to choose between the two but IMHO if someone already owns 2.0 buying a processor with different effects is a better choice.BTW I own zoom g2 now and custom sounds are great, it turned out that just the standard presets are crap so in his situation zoom is just a better choice, don't you think?
