have you ever tried a boar bristle shaving brush? i bought a semogue brush at west coast shaving for like under 20 bucks or something, and i'm just wondering if this could possibly be better? maybe but i really kind of think it's super feminine looking and with all the buzzing and beeping and crap i just don't know if i want to buy something like this. if anyone's tried a boar bristle brush and can compare this let me know.

I was told by my Dermatologist to use this. When she was telling me about it, she recommended me to replace the brush head every 3 months. Obviously, I'd be using this hardcore. But I thought I should just leave a note when I heard you talking about that.

As for the brush, the best price i found is amazon.com. i saw 2 brushes there for $25. Thanks for the gr8 review...unlike alot of reviews on this product which are so repetitive, i like how you demonstrate the speed and how you answered about how to attach the brush. thumbs up from me. ;)

@learningthis1 it still operates well. i might try buying one of the original cleansers that came with it, because those may actually work better than the stuff i use. my skin isn't as clear as it originally was, but then again i don't use it every morning and night like i did for this review.

Thanks for the review! I haven't actually used the product, but for anyone, some have said that they've gotten broken capillaries which are basically spider veins on the face that look like pink threads. It seems as though a lot of people really enjoy their Clarisonic so perhaps it depends on the person's skin tone and sensitivity or such.

Easy solution to splashing: this cleaning system does not require a lot of water or product for cleansing. Dampen the bristles and tip upside down to get rid of excess water, apply the cleanser directly to the face, and then wash. Less water splashing, and great results.

I got the same Clarisonic about a month ago. I already had good skin, but it really does make a difference. My pores are smaller, and my skin is smoother.

I lost the booklet, so I appreciate the demonstration on the speeds (I have been using it on low, so I will have to try a higher speed).

I have not had a problem with water slinging off the brush head, but I mostly use it in the shower.

How do you remove the brush head?

Removing the brush head is like removing the cap of a child-proof prescription bottle. You press down while turning to the left. It will then become loose, and you can remove it. To put one back in place, line it up and press in and turn it to the right.

I read that they recommend changing brushheads every 3-4 months. Glad to know youve gotten longer use out of it, because it would sure get expensive otherwise :) Im glad its working for you, Im really hoping it will work for me!

@AFEcoMom It ultimately depends on how the brush works on you skin. I have not noticed any decrease in performance. Do not obey the "rules" of the instructions...follow your common sense, which is far greater at guiding you. If it works, it works! No need to change!

Thanks for the review. I just saw this at the spa last week and I wanted to get someone's opinion on the product besides the person trying to sell it to me. It is a bit pricey, but it's worth it if it really works.

TrueSun, it's worked wonders for me. I also do "rough exfoliation" to make my skin tighter. it's simple...use a bath rag to scrub your face. use a lot of pressure. your skin will be red afterward, but the next day, it will look amazing. i do this several times a week. i akin it to a mini chemical peel. both remove a lot of your dead skin. :)

Good luck. You're going to love it. Just give it a week or two before you judge the results! And, remember you don't have to use any special soaps or creams...anything will do. It's not the soap that does the work..it's the brush. (but soaps help clear the face of oil, of course)
