If the rider is experienced, as it seems rhea is, then sometimes skill can "out-break" a lesser skilled rider with ABS. It depends on the person. If you went from just under 2 years riding experience w/o ever riding a sportbike, then yes, it may help. But a seasoned rider can make that decision and I"m sure rhea can after owning those zx6

Personally I think the 2011 ZX10 looks like shit but to each their own opinion I guess... I'd never buy one. If I wanted a 200hp litre bike I'd go with the S1000RR, or Kawasaki's new ZX14 with 210hp.

The ABS they're putting on this new generation of literbikes is actually very good. If it's going to be a track only bike then don't bother but for street riding ABS is a godsend. Unlike the track, grip is very unpredictable on the street and the ABS controller is going to be far better at coping with that than your "Skills." The other thing is that you're unlikely to get to the ABS activation threshold on the street unless you're panic braking or riding like a moron.

Non-abs bikes are gonna be dinosaurs soon, in the same way that older bikes use carburettors - and are dinosaurs today. A long time ago, people used to say they can 'beat' ABS in their car using their skills, but this is total BS, even more so for a bike. You're skills aren't always going to save you in an unexpected situation or road surface on the street. Bit of extra weight yes, but it may save your life on a day you're feeling tired and lock the fnt or rear and end up low or high siding it

you say skills wont always save you. This is true, but unless ABS has drastically changed then ABS is only designed to help when the bike is pretty much upright. The way ABS works would make you loose grip if you were leaning, so even then ABS wont always save you. You have to be sensible with how you ride, and if you get caught short, you're gonna get in trouble with or without ABS.

@BlackFlag94 It's sudden loss of traction, then the sudden onset of traction which causes the bike to stand up and throw you. Does not matter if it's caused by locking the rear, stepping it out and throwing you when you release suddenly, or the unexpected, invisible oil/dirt/dust patch from nowhere, in which case the traction control would contribute to saving you from HS. Agreed, It's not perfect + there is serious planned obsolescence in these systems - so expect them to get a whole lot better

The TC system on this bike is meant to be the best available, and VERY close to that on MotoGP bikes.
