I always loved how the original gazebo fans looked. Muck better than todays gazebo II. I've never really seen one in bown, only verde green and white. It seems like it blows good air for a newer fan.
My huntinton 3 is going to hell already lol. The stupid pull chain for the light is wearing out, and the motor is making a little noise, and the blades are sagging all ready. lol
A relative has this on their patio. It's plain white, very quiet, and has little sea shells on each pull chain. For the price that Lowes sells them at, it's a great buy! As soon as I get a camera, I'll film it for you. =)
I've been hearing many things lately about Hampton Bay at Lowes, which makes no sense to me since Hampton Bay is the house brand at Home Depot, and Harbor Breeze is the house brand at Lowes. I don't know that you have it wrong either, because you're not the first person I've heard it from. My HD would never sell this for the price I got it at, and I'd never buy it at the full HD price.
Yeah, I've just been to Lowe's website and seen no trace of Hampton Bay, but I didn't see this fan on Home Depot's website either. I think this fan was discontinued, because there's now a Gazebo II that, which looks a lot like the newer Hunters. Be that as it may, I'm still going to ask my relative where they got their fan from. All I know is they got it on sale for the nice price of around $50. Believe me, if there was a Habitat Re-Store in my area, I'd go there all the time. =)
Yes, this model has been replaced by the new Gazebo II. The Minuet and Littleton are a couple other models that have been "updated" as well for this model year. I think they all just keep getting uglier. You've checked about ReStores? I wasn't aware of the one in my area until a couple years ago. Think of all the cool fans I may have missed all those years prior. :-(
*Sigh* Sadly, there is no ReStore in my immediate area. There's one in my county, but it's rather far away, and I don't think it's worth getting my parents to drive down the PA Turnpike. =(
Too bad. If you visit/join the fan forums I told you about though you'll have a great opportunity to pick up high quality fans at incredible prices if one that interests you should pop up. I got that white Hunter Original motor for $5 I think it was, plus shipping which was a lot for a 50lb fan, but $5 was a complete bargain for an Original anyway. Jeremy M sells fans for very cheap, Casas for usually $20 or less if he wants to get rid of them.
Weird, I'm so confused LOL. It's not apparently supposed to be installed without the light, unless there was a separate cap included, because it took like 15 minutes to take the thing off and it was not an easy process at all. I like the motor housing without the light, but the switch housing is too small for how surprisingly large the motor housing is.
I agree, and the the blade bracket shape doesn't help much either. I tried to convince my relatives to install it without the light kit, but they needed it. Also, since they decided to use the flush-mount option, they gave ME the downrod and ball-joint, but I seem to have lost it. =(

It's not a terrible fan for what it is. It's actually not brown though, it's like a rust patina of sorts, very reddish as opposed to brown.

UPDATE: The fan WAS, in fact, bought at Home Depot, so what you've heard about Hampton Bay at Lowes is probably a load of bull.
Have you ever tried installing this fan without the light kit? Does it look good without it?
