My experience exactly except my mom was not patient. I've been driving 3 years now and to this day still can't drive a stick. I settle for an automatic. I kept hitting the break and gas and by the time i let off the gas...VOOOM i was flying. LOL my mom was so pissed. So she gave up and I got a automatic.

It's a word that goes end of sentence to make it more formal. Just like in Japanese how they say masuda, kudasai, sulu, etc at every end of sentence to make it formal. And like in Korean they say subnida, yibnida, habnida, etc.
