  • wwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaoooooooooooooooooow

  • Incredible. She blew my mind!

Note, if everyone played it exactly the way it was mean't to be played, you would hear the same thing over and over again. No one wants that.

  • i think she is the one on stage and she must be doing something right.... she laughs at all your negative comments

  • Bellissima!!!

  • I can't believe people criticizing her for being fast. She is extremely good. I guess the fact she is a beautiful woman and so gifted let some people angry or envy... I can see no other reason. She's superb !.

  • Why so fast? This piece is not meant to be played fast!!!

I think if she slows down she will make many mistakes. Who is entertained with such speed? It should be played withe the same speed it was meant to be played when it was written by Albeniz and played on the piano.

  • @steppingrock This is played 120 on the piano, Segovia is the first to interpet it on guitar in a milder slower tempo, at the same time bringing the guitar into a more respectable position as an instrument rather than a toy. I believe she does the closest to piano I have heard.

  • I love Led Zeppelin, but when somebody compares classical guitar with rock of the 70's I think: He's a fucking asshole. Instead, I would say: Can Jimmy Page play Asturias?? And the answer would be:: Hell NO¡¡¡

  • Oh, sure. . . but can she play Stairway to Heaven?

  • Obviously she is an excellent Guitarist with great dexterity and speed but how much nicer, were she playing naked with a glass guitar !

  • b4 u guys jump at my throat pl listen de piano or orchestra version

  • she has amazing technique, unfortunatelly with that is everything said!

  • Les applaudissements... Elle les méritent largement.

  • Ca c'est une virtuose... C'est de la Guitare Classique quoi!

  • People filming Ana really should use slow motion cam :)

    Amazing.

  • In my modest oppinion this is how this piece should be played and not how Segovia plays it, althout it's also beautiful, some parts lose their meaining, I think.

  • When I grow up I would like to marry you, please

  • I've heard this by sooo many people, and by far I love this version the most.

  • THIS IS WHERE ROBBY KRIEGER GOT THE IDEA OF SPANISH CARAVAN

  • GOD is a woman, and her name is Ana Vidovic

  • This is much more than "the best"!

  • Perfect feelings and technics...

    Amazing musician!

  • i prefer segovia version, this is a little over tech. brilliant but sounds a little robotic. i wouldnt kick her out of bed though

  • @poopalover you sir are an idiot.

  • @altairzq what makes you think i am a sir.

  • Comment removed

  • @altairzq What is the insult for? Should it be for my reference about segovia, this is a perfectly good statement of personal choice, such as yours. In which case you are an idiot for insulting someone for a personal musical taste or preference, you bigot. Should it be the second part of my statement, you are an idiot for even re-commenting on an idiotic statement. Either way, you are an idiot

  • ana ja te volim tebe

  • how on earth can anyone dislike this??

    no..let me rephrase

How the hell can anyone not LOVE this shit??

  • yep, well played!

    ^_^

  • Such amazing beauty and grace....Bravo !!!

  • Muito linda a interpretação. Muita sensibilidade.

  • I am proud to be Croatian with artists like her. My eys was full of tears.....our pride and joy: Ana Vidović

  • perfecto .... magnificento

  • I studied guitar for six years and then, finally, played Asturias. In my opinion it is a brilliant piece and has to be fast and brilliant. Ana Vidovic got an impressive tecnique She never loses the control of her guitar. She always domintaes the instrument.

in any case it depends on your taste. You can prefer The Maestro Segovia, Williams, Barrueco. I think she's really a great concertist.

  • Excellent!!! Bravo!!!

  • AMAZING...Breathtaking...i´m stunned and speechless. Best Asturias Performance i´ve ever seen. She´s probably pulling the old kings of the throne....

  • 26 people don't know anything about music ! Justin Bieber fans maybe ?

  • This is for sigurjons comment below:

YOURE RIDICULOLUS. THIS GUITARIST HAS EXCEPTIONAL TECHNIQUE. ACHIEVING GOOD TECHNIQUE IS HARD ENOUGH, AND THEN ONLY PART OF THE CHALLENGE OF MAKING GOOD MUSIC. AS FOR PLAYING IT AS WELL AS SEGOVIA AS WILLIAMS, SOUNDS LIKE YOU SHOULD LOCK YOURSELF IN A ROOM AND LISTEN ONLY TO THEIR RECORDINGS FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, BECAUSE NOBODY CAN FILL THOSE SHOES. ALSO, SHE'S PULLING ALL THIS OFF IN FRONT OF AN APPRECIATIVE AUDIENCE, AND AUDIENCES DONT LIE.

  • @adagio1313

A machine can have exceptional technique (as well as CAPS LOCK), but this is way too fast and cold. A matter of opinion is not up to a debate, so you should take a chill-pill and let others have their opinions in peace and call yourself rediculous, because that is what your comment is.

  • wow!!!!!!!!

  • Bela interpretação Ana!

  • she`s amazing !!!

  • Well, i enjoyed it, and i like electric guitars mainly. To much anal retentiveness in classical music for my liking! "lighten up you lot."

  • I do not understand the comment about being 'less than enjoyable' .I found it totally enjoyable,I have seen other videos of her playing and find nothing wrong with her technique or interpretation of anything she plays.Listen to the audience at the end, they found it 'enjoyable'

  • This was less than enjoyable. Way too fast and without heart. Also her technique is not too good as you can hear fingerslips throughout the song. Segovia and Williams do it a lot better.

  • @sigurjonv02 U are a freakin retard.... have u seen Segovia play it? Sounds like he's gonna drop dead any minute. Look at the way this girl plays with the tone and speed of the song. Please dont tell me you didnt enjoy it because you have to be freakin retarded to watch Segovia and then this and say he's "more enjoyable" an "does it better"

  • @fredwillard97531

You calling others retard is the pot calling the kettle black. You can't ignore the fingerslips she makes and it is so fast, you might think she is missing a train. To me it sound mechanical, cold, fast and not enjoyable. Don't think that you can be a judge of how people enjoy music, because it is not up to debate, but to taste.

  • @sigurjonv02 this fucking fat ass nerd is just trying to sound smart

  • Impresionante. Agilidad de digitación y muchísima expresión. Ana gran artista.

    Maravilloso.

  • I'm not agree with berdjum, maybe.. just few breath, some tone color variation missing in her interpretation to be the greatest interpretation of asturias never heard (by me, of course...). I love asturias, ana vidovic can play piece with amazing emotion, her technic is perfect. For me, this piece is very hard to interpret. Some people prefer segovia interpretation, personally, i don't, i prefer her fluidity/flowing interpretation.

  • THE PROBLEM is not that it is fast or not .; the problem is that there is only technic in her play.

if she would have played fast and with emotion then it would have been more interesting !

  • The response by this obviously knowledgeable audience is a testament to a remarkable performance by one with great talent. I feel much emotion played into this piece.

  • this sucked !

well, fast though. but speed kills feelings.

  • @FatBoyFromTheVillage well, intensity is a feeling.

  • omg 01:28 , 01:41 kills me :)

  • outstanding but there is something missing...

  • muy rapido !

  • wow!

  • Lovely =)

She must have been practising a bit ;)

  • she's sexy

  • superbe! Fantastic...

  • Beautiful to hear and to see!

    Thanks for sharing!

  • I think i just shit my pants. I can play this song fairly well, some issues cause i have somewhat small hands so stretches are hard. and this woman is playing it twice as fast as i play it... i cant believe it lol. so freaking amazing

  • Wow. What a lady ! What a soul ! What knowledge ! She got my heart!

  • omg she is so great i am music in guitar classical to and i dont know if i will stil playing but its very cool be like her, when alot of peoples are seeing u plaing and u are making ur best but when i start i allways do "crap" xD

  • Simplesmente de mais....

  • too fast for my taste

  • Too robotic ?, and what should we expect from somebody playing a classic not too many dare to play ?, jumping around and yelling ehaaaa ?.

  • Amazing ! ! !

  • Briliant!!!

  • I thought John Williams was the only one that could play this song that fluidly and effortlessly.

  • I've never heard and seen something like that before....GREAT AND SO PERFECT!!!

  • I'm in love

  • impeccable technique, but in my opinion a little too robotic :(

  • very lively and passionate to me.

  • @chaz76vette You're robotic.

  • I dont like it at all. Too fast, to cold, to sensless

  • very perfect performans

  • Ana is magnific, wonderfull, perfect !

    i lov²²³³³³³³³ Ana

    <3

  • Absalyutnaya harmony You and musics in Your performance!

  • Nevertheless, she plays very fast and it makes a good effect-somthing as driving a sportcar...a red one (:

compare to William and Segovia version,i

prefer; i love is youg and nervous interpretation- with sensibility...

  • wow that was really good. i really liked it. :) good job

  • yes

  • Wow she plays this piece quite fast!

  • Such a talented and beautiful musician.

  • She takes the easy fingering and does not play with a semi-barre at the 7th fret on 6,5,and 4 strings, and therefore misses the cantabile and sustain of the B notes (watch Segovia or Williams play this piece). The piece is transcribed from piano and to avoid that nuance unique to guitar diminishes the piece; a player of such ability ought to know that.

  • Well said Sir!

  • @Hilliard999999 shut the fuck up please. go ahead and play better then come bac with ur vid. FAG

  • vukstevanic, you Ignorant moron..it starts in the 9th measure, use your fingers and count

  • Hilliard999999 play it

  • ( ! )

  • Watching this video, I feel like the girl was making love to her guitar the whole time! She is fantastic!

  • Not all music comes from the heart and soul muffin. 99.9% of the rap music i've ever heard is about bitches and spinning rims. Lmao

But this is certainly from the heart and is great music. Anyone that disagrees is no more than retarded.

  • who said modern day rap music was music? haha

  • FANTASTIC PERFORMANCE!!!!!!!

  • She's better than Segovia. Segovia slows down on the bar and interrupts the flow of the song. This girl does it completely uninterrupted. I tried it for a year and didn't think it could be done. Well, I'll be damned...

  • So envious that such a lovely woman can play this far better than I can ever dream to.

  • Even an amateur wouldn't any better.I'm JOKING! She's perfect.

  • this is truly an amazing piece, done very well to say the least! astounding musician and guitarist! outfuckingstanding!!!!!!!!

  • The critics hold several things against her: that she is a woman and a beautiful one at that. This is a stupendous (despite the not-so-good sound of the video), albeit fast-paced version and much finer than the version of the older men who played in this festival. We should be applauding her instead of being jealous of her. However, the audience response at the end is the final word.

  • she as a musician is still very young at least in this vid so its ok if people gives reasons on why they like or dont like her interpretation. Its worst if you force people to like this interpretation. The problem is not speed the problem is play the whole song as one single movement or as many splited apart peices into one song.

The really bad comments are those saying it is a good performance based on how hot the chick is oO

  • also I think thats a variation on holding the guitar which is most used by women. ..a classical holding possition for women.

  • can someone please explain to me why she holds her guitar like that? Is that how a flamenco is supposed to be held? ..I just don't know about flamenco :s

    regardless, she played beautifully :D

  • Maybe a little fast ! This perform is at a competition ; maybe a little nervous...

But this is a great guitarist !

  • too fast! too fast! relax honey, yuo´re powerful, and lovely

  • It's a fast piece, not a slow one.

  • Tehničke divita ... savršen...!!!!!

  • She perfoms too wildly, obviously. But she`s so beautiful, gifted and powerful personality, - I want neglect that trifle.

  • so fast that cannot taste the notes....

  • This seemed an odd comment at first, but I understand what you mean. I can just imagine her instructors... " Very nice Ana, but more FEELING..."

  • i love you Ana Vidovic

    have you msn adresse?

    sende please me

  • Exceptionally passionate. This seems to be _the_ piece for Ana Vidovic.

  • Beautiful visuals and audio.

  • i love this song/woman!!

  • wow.........

  • Great technique, but i'd prefer it a bit slower, i don't have time to understand the melody at this speed.

    Anyway, just an opinion

  • wow really? you say u don't have time to understand the melody at her speed? Don't limit yourself like that. I believe ppl have trouble understanding that fast playin is another form or way of expression. Kinda like soft/rough sex. Just a dif way of "painting the canvas". Sometimes the emotion felt can be overwhelming i guess. But man, alot of ppl don't know what they're missing.

  • I think i didn't express myself correctly. I meant that every note and every phrase produces a certain feeling to the listener, and I think that at this speed anyone can feel all them. It's true that playing it fast is another way to express, but I think that everything has a limit, and this interpretation is over it.

  • hmm i see. it's over it you say? i guess it is 4 you anyway, but i do see ur point. but we can agree on one thing,....it's still an amazingly beautiful piece.

  • The intro of this piece has to be fast. throughout the performance, sometimes it goes fast and sometimes it goes slow.. not always fast. That is how it controls/changes your feelings or else it would be boring. This guitarist timed it perfectly.

  • @blumonde I'm not sure if it has to be fast for that intent - the original was written by Albeniz for Segovia and Segovia often changed things here and there during the composition of the piece. Now, the piece is dedicated to and written for Segovia and the way Segovia interprets it is fairly different. I am sure you've heard his interpretation before - he is quite slow in the first part, totally different tempo than Ana. I think it's an interpretation and both are good ones.

  • @elelome76 Tks for the info. You do know more about it then I do. I heard this masterpiece played by my late brother and he performed very much the same style this artist did. He was not as good as her but almost. I had a chance to learn it from him but couldn't handle the hardship. Thank God that I found it here on YouTube. A lot of memories came with it.

  • That is technically a great performance. The speed is really impressive, but i think this interpretation loses some of the atmosphere and magic of this piece
