  • Tim great to hear you with Riley ! Yours down in Bantam , Guy

  • Tim, What tuning do you usually play in?

  • @Darkchylde89 For this kind of tune I usually use CFCffc (capoed up of course).

  • That not High quality of sound but Tim and Riley Make everythink allright I can't stop listening... Amazing (SoryBrokenEnglish)

  • @Bortillo You're right - poor quality sound and video - and they still sound good! :-)

  • look on mudcat.org for the link

mh605 -The above site contains a link to the words of this song written back around 1900 as well as the history of it's origin, Tim's song is almost word for wrod the same song

  • @allchevy78 Absolutely. As Tim says below, the words are not his, but the tune is.

  • One of the best duo's w/ vocals and instrument collaboration. Not perfect. But what is perfect music. Every time a song is played or sung, it is alive, and beating. Giving only what was given to it.

  • Awesome, thanks for that. Haunting tune & great lyrics. So good someone as skilled is keeping the old songs alive.

  • It's not an old song. Tim Eriksen wrote it.

  • the tune so compliments the story, both chilling and intruguing at once.

  • "intriguing", i meant.

  • Sad song :(

I'm taking a class right (Construction Management Major) that is teaching us about how to enforce safety standards and practices. I'm going to post this video in our online portion of the class, as yet another reason to be safe at work!

  • You may know this, but a similar mill fire in NY was behind the eventual move toward instituting workplace safety standards.

  • @batfancy ..I actually posted this in an online academic discussion about workplace safety... They LOVED it...sad lyrics but a good song

  • ive got to get me a banjo

  • Tim really is a national treasure.

  • c'est excellent!

  • Est-ce que tu sais le titre? Chu trop accrochée par cette chanson!!!!

  • Le titre est "Granite Mills" (les moulins de granit?) Le texte est vieil et j'ai composé l'air.

  • Merci :) !!!!

  • your guitar and your voice are relly beutiful

  • C'est une chanson très triste. Heureusement, ce type d'événement n'arrive pas cela souvent plus.

  • i am obsessed with tim

  • This is a great song and Riley and Tim go so well together.

  • Great song! In the tradition of the protest songs of times gone by. One of my favorites.
