  • Ah, the perfect early '60s fun and silly pop song from a much more innocent era: Young, eager lads in dinky suits, perky singing, clever wordplay with a gender switch on the Henry VIII-inspired lyrics, wonderfully snappy drumming, simple/economical guitar solo break, all wrapped up in just under two minutes. Perfect pop product: ready made for radio play and short appearances on shows like Sullivan's. Absolutely fantastic!

  • I've been sending this out along with Mark Steyn's column, "Obama goes Henry VIII on the church."

It's not hard to imagine Hussein strutting around and singing this song.

  • This is the Troll 2 of songs. So bad it's good, but the person making it still has a complete understanding of their art.

It's also the most British fucking thing ever.

  • This is the original 45....I know, I've listened to enough when I was a kid....My sister had the record and I played it and danced on her pink shag carpet in her bed room. She hated it when I messed with her record player.
