Respect for the Working Man! She's a feminist that doesn't blame men for everything--very refreshing! She shows how men get beaten down in our gender role, how women take advantage of men and cut other women down--I loved that! It's a little slow but that's because she builds to an explosive ending then gives a great resolution where everyone gets what they should.
I love her books! I met her at a poetry reading once and she was very friendly. She told me about Oregon Tradeswomen Inc and said I should look into them for better work and pay--best advice I ever got! I bought her books and they were very inspiring. I loved seeing a teenage girl in the trades in 8 Days a Week and loved the poem "Landscaping the World" about her experience in that line of work. She is a self-taught writer, not from the "ivory towers". A fresh breath of air! Completely unique!
