  • that was cool

  • well done. I saw the Bloke on Today channel nine this morning too. seemed like an amazing person and is now using this to raise money for Princess Margret Hospital. Good on you, a true Aussie

  • WILD STUFF

  • Does anyone know the address please, I live in Perth so I really want to drive past and see it

  • Check the Sunrise website on Yahoo. They advertised it there this morning and may have posted the address

  • the address is Bishop Riley Way Churchlands

  • Hey sarg. I know where all the cones from lot 13 are! This is really great-- thank you for sharing it.

  • There is about 2 or 3 that have the same music.

  • There are actually hundreds if not thousands :)

It is a very common song for synched lights.

  • God, I hope they set them up again this year!

  • very nicely done! one of my new favs!

  • i spy with my little eye.........ROAD CONES THAT LIGHT UP IN THE DRIVEWAY!!!!

  • awsome, cant wait till this years one, except daylight saving, X (

  • dude sick house luv TSO

  • our whole street does christmas lights. Last year we had tourists in coach buses and police to direct traffic. There was soo many people. Sydney area

  • Its gotta be a bitch to set all that shit up.

  • did this house copy the other one? (for those of you who know which house i'm talking about). they even have the same-ish tree, and the same music.

  • there r tons of houses all over the world that do this so no one copied anyone its just something people do if they hav the time money and equipment 4 it

  • is what you have music outside?

  • no its done over an FM transmitter so you don't get the neighbors after you

  • lighting orgasmus... Simple the BEST!!!

  • I'm a complete programmed Christmas Light junkie, and in my opinion, few to none of the videos ever measured up to the origonal (Martin Lindsay, I believe?) design to Wizards In Winter. Either they were lame, or copycats. Yours, however, is quite good, and rather original! I'm not a fan of the color scheme, the orange cones are creative, but I don't like them...the blue and white icicles look so similar it's hard to tell them apart...I'd have liked to see more color, but job well done!!!

  • Carson Williams was the original. However I have to agree the Lindsay Lights take is awesome. I also think this one is great too, especially with 'plug pack adapters' that come with most Australian lights. These little things make synchronising more complicated (some don't like rapid on/off switching, some don't work well with fading/dimming). Would say its the best display from Perth I've seen. I run a display in Adelaide.

  • Awsome ! Good Job ! The last minute is brilliant. Go Aussie !

  • beats orig i like the cones that light up for piano

  • better than the origonal. Kick ass, Go aussies

  • no one can beat he origional

  • TSO ROCKS!! (trans siberian orchestra) they play this.

  • Oh that is awesome! I live in Sacramento, California, United States. Last Christmas was the first time I ever saw Christmas lights in sync with music like that, when my sister took me and her girls to see Christmas lights (Just moved back from Arkansas last August), and I was so fascinated. I think that was the same music I heard too. Oh, I hope I make it out there next year!

  • sweet!

  • australia owns =D

  • Awesome. Nice music and great sync/effects. 5/5stars.

  • gr8 vid i love it

  • WOW i am so comin and sittin outside ur house for xmas eve .. us perth people so RAWK dont we hehehe HUGS

  • This gave me goosebumps - Good onya guys!

  • Mad

  • the song is Wizards of Winter by the Trans Siberian Orchestra

  • wats the song anyone no?

  • For xmas 2008...

I think carbon offsetting something like this would be a really good idea. The charity thing would still work and it sends out an important message about energy use as well. If it really only costs $95 extra then the cost will be minimal, but the message will be strong.

  • OMG, could u guys imagine being their neigbur, major bummer :P

but its a nice vid :D

  • LOL I was thinking the same thing.

  • Hell yea! Christmas is crazy enough without sleep deprivation and extra traffic on YOUR street!

  • wow. imagine hving totkae down THESE christmas lights? lol not only would it take time. but if i was the owner of thishouse. id be so sad lol. because they probably put so much effort into it. i mean they didnt just do this in an afternoon, right?!

  • what ever happened to a few fairy lights I must be gettin old

  • A little too similar to the original one to be considered creative.

  • My thoughts exactly. Same lighting concept and same music.

  • Wow that was awesome.

  • You Win...

  • great stuff love it good work

  • tht was awsome amazing i live in perth and its the best GO PERTH!!!!!!!

    =D

  • I went to Perth for x-mas cuz thats where i was worn and my mums side is from and i swer it rock!!!

  • same

  • thats our neighbor

  • That music makes me think 'Nightwish go Christmas'.

  • wow thats awesome! 5/5

  • its took long for it load on my compluter but that was the best but i seen better i should of taped it lol

  • Great show, as good as the original in America. Love that music by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

  • Wow my kids love it.

pity we live in Adelaide it would be well worth the trip.

  • wooooo go perth

  • That's awesome...loved it :)

  • Pretty much tries to duplicate the original, which is good for a first try and something to improve on. I definitely like the traffic cones. I saw the newscast about it. He must live in a ritzy area if he expects everyone else on the street to do it too.

  • Yup he does, lives in a suburb called churchlands, where houses are an average of a million!

  • That was insane!!!

  • was it always that song

  • that loser comment was for TheSoulHarvester

  • thats pretty damn kool. very asian

  • OMG that is the best light thing i have ever seen!

  • Near the end is the part where EMT comes and picks up the small children laid out on the lawn from the light induced seisures with a huge smile on their faces. Like me. I was like. @_@!!!! Near the end.

  • OMG PLEASE Tell me you are still doing shows between now and the new year.. I got to see the ones in ocean reef, but Would really like to see yours.

  • fabulous...best christmas lights ever...

  • lethal! is that sum1s house?"

  • Yes. In Australia, when people go away for holidays the surrounding neighbours dress the vacant house in lights and remove them before they get back ... just 4 a laugh.

  • lol everyones gonna believe that now

  • What? No that's not what happens lol.. the owners dress their own house. People hold competitions and everything, it's great fun.

  • the song:

"Wizards in Winter" by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

  • Awesome display of technology. Good job, the music is also fantastic, where is it from and who composed it?

  • I live in perth, and have been to see these! Just want to say they are F***ing Awsome!!! They have it in a repeat, with the song playing out softly into the street so people standing infront of house can hear. It seams to be a joint effort with the neighbours houses lit up brightly with there lights and decos

  • awesome lights...although i'm sure the neighbours are thrilled.

  • COOOOLL!!!

    amazing!

id like to see some1 else do dat!

brilliant, managed 2 keep d synchronization throughout d solo aswell!

  • Absolutely brilliant in the words of richie benaud 'MARVELOUS'

  • This is why us west Aussies Roxxorxx your soxxorx :D

  • truly amazing...the synchronize play of the light and the tune of the music is hard to comprehend.Magnificent invention to me.

  • Excellent.. My kind of Christmas Carol... Love the light show as well... It's all good...

  • great work.

everyone that is complaining about it using electricity.... take this into account.

The majority of those lights would be LED's, not incandescent globes.

The average computer runs between 500-1000watts, including screen.

LED's use something like 0.1W per bulb.

    10,000 lights = 1 computer.

plus, he doesnt have them all on at once.

(let's take out of account the computer he is using to run the setup, haha).

  • that is awsome. i wich i could see that house, but im in melbourne. still that is awsome even if its in perth, jk perth is ok

  • awesome, totally awesome. very well done.

  • people build a bridge and get over it,who really cares about Carson Williams of OHIO, or carbon footprints, and green house issues, this is Xmas time, and this bloke has done a bloody brilliant job of putting this spectacular show together, Ive watch the American version and this one rocks harder and is much better, you-tube isnt the forum for expressing heavy world issues.

  • Would looove to see this up close thank you for the wonderful lights

  • an epileptic's worst nightmare

  • The world was warmer, greener and healthier when it was hotter and had more C02. I might be wrong but animals and plants grew to incredible proportions because of the higher co2 levels. Still if you want to keep your small minds happy then best keep co2 levels low.

  • Well I couldnt care if it was sucking the entire countries power supply dry to power the most elaborate display i have seen ever.

  • Oh and another one, (Same music and type of display). Do you buy these in kit form or something??

  • I saw the house live, shame the loud speakers arent louder, doesnt quite tune in to the radio unfortunately. Signal is very weak.

But is this truly amazing?....Yes and anybody not seeing this or something like it is missing the point of enjoying ones self.

  • your kidding you can get the signal from about a km away

  • Yeah awesome! but please don't ever move in next door to me.

  • Fantastic!!!! fabulous!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!!

  • Fantastic!!!!

  • Funny how the Messages on Hold logo keeps flashing up...

  • where abouts in Perth do you live coz I live their I might drive by

  • As the description says "his home in Bishop Riley Way, Churchlands Western Australia".

  • A single sting of tree lights left on 8 hours for 12 days generates enough CO2 gas to fill 12 party balloons...this is Christmas madness! The best present this guy should give his kids are carbon credits.

  • And how long do you spend on your computer? or watching tv? or driving your car?

    ...jackass

  • You Make me sick slaterchris i bet you drive a car!!!

  • fantastic i love the music too !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Gob smacked, absolutely fabulous.

  • At last something as good as Carson Williams!! Brilliant!!!

  • BETTER!!!

  • Naaa, Carson's display is more creative.

  • i donno.. but this is veryvery cool

i love the song its a modern cool take on Xmas

  • WOW! this is soo cool.Whoever thought of it was really a G-E-N-I-U-S!!! If i hada million dollars id give it to you for ur charity. but im just a teenager ahah. This is seriuosly INTENSE!! i love it!

  • awesome!!!

  • It's great, but its almost an exact copy of Carson Williams' house in Ohio, USA which was done a few years ago (see the vid here on you tube by typing 'christmas lights gone wild' into search bar) even the music is the same. Glad some charities are benefitting tho...

  • That is Friggen great!!

    and I usually hate christmas!!

  • reminds me of las vegas

  • excellent job.I wish I lived in Perth to see it in real life. Good on you!!!

  • the christmas light is in da beat!!!

  • Kim, Ton damn you went all out this year (its josh Hildreth btw) no doubt we'll come see it Christmas eve.
