@26JmP well first off always make sure u know where your going and where u want to be in the end, while ur sliding into the first wall aim slightly at the next so your character knows where ur going, and in a shotgun fight while walbouncing, when slinding toward a wall aim at the guy, and as u pull of the wall shot him and bounce to the next wall, but make sure u use strafing too, dont rely on wallbouncing. hope this somewhat help and if u subscribe i plan on making my own wallbounce tutorial =)

veng: something you forgot to mention. on the start OF EVERY ROUND/ RESPAWN you SHOULD shoot around 4 shots off the gnasher, and active- reload as soon as you meet an enemy, the active-reload, as we all know, does extra damage, basically making it so you can kill around 2 or 3 ppl easy with the 4 active reload shots.
same thing can be done with the lancer/hammerburst, but you should shoot off half a clip before active reloading.

One thing I might add to this guide- when actually using scope, the only time is when lining up. You show the line up and explain anticipation, but a key thing with people coming around corners is the early hard aim. Works wonders for people who don't have the blindfire/popshot down well. Also, this should be obvious, but for people who don't know.. 3:44- Do not try this against someone with a shotgun. They will oneshot you when on your screen, you're past them, the majority of the time.
I still mostly suck at shotgun duels but I'm slowly getting better. I tend to freak out in close quarter situations, which is what gears is all about.
never try to use that B botton to try to stun them because they updated it and it now doesnt not work as you would want it unless your a really good wall bouncer like me (not saying im the best)..but in all you just have to stay relaxed..this is all just basic stuff for 1st timers.
some of your tips are ture, but the facts are not all true..the pop shot for one doesnt make your shots faster however they do make them stronger even if you dont have an active..also if and enemy is in cover and you both don't rush what you should do is pop off 3 shots and grab actives then angle your camera to a way opposite of the enemy and wall bounce off of it to get the down..this works because as we all know actives are OP and being really close to a person and using actives always works.

No offense but this is the third installment in the gears franchise, if people don't already know how to do all of this stuff and perfect it then they need to get a new game. This guide would of been helpful when Gears 1 came out in the first few months.
Right off the bat you sound ignorant. Blind firing is when you're against cover and just pull the trigger without aiming. What you're doing is shooting from the hip. Its great that you want to help people, but if you want people to take the video seriously, brush up on your vocabulary.

Nice vid but if a person is in the corner, u could simply fire a away while moving at an angle at the corner to draw them out. Dodge rolling forward is technically not a good idea because when u dodge roll, u kinda lose that advantage u had while in a battle unless u dodge in cover.

If you're smart, you'll either stay AWAY from the corner, or ignore the idiot and go find some explosives to toss his/her way. You don't HAVE to run straight up to the guy's campy corner. Either flank him, or use grenades/digger/bunny-rabbits/etc to force him/her out of his/her little camp.

I actually never knew that you should line up the enemy with your character's elbow. This video helped me out a lot actually, thanks for making a video like this.
I hate when I see an enemy in cover so I come up and roll behind them to take them off guard. They fire and their shot kills me after I've rolled behind them, as though I was still in front of them. The lag ruins everything and really changes the way you have to play. It's still infinitely smoother than in the first two Gears games though.
Sawed off = You don't care for "Pro" playing and you wanna have fun.
It's hilarious hearing people raging about it. Besides, if you die by a sawed off, you deserve it. It only kills in melee range, so anyone with a gnasher/rifle just has to keep a relatively small distance away. Unless you're rushing like a moron or aren't checking your blind spots, you should never die by sawed off...

some of your tips are ture, but the facts are not all true..the pop shot for one doesnt make your shots faster however they do make them stronger even if you dont have an active..also if and enemy is in cover and you both don't rush what you should do is pop off 3 shots and grab actives then angle your camera to a way opposite of the enemy and wall bounce off of it to get the down..this works because as we all know actives are OP and being really close to a person and using actives always works.

Right off the bat you sound ignorant. Blind firing is when you're against cover and just pull the trigger without aiming. What you're doing is shooting from the hip. Its great that you want to help people, but if you want people to take the video seriously, brush up on your vocabulary.

For the guy you rolled past, you could have just mantle kicked him because rolling directly towards an enemy is a pretty bad idea, as they could pull out a shotty etc etc.

Nice vid but if a person is in the corner, u could simply fire a away while moving at an angle at the corner to draw them out. Dodge rolling forward is technically not a good idea because when u dodge roll, u kinda lose that advantage u had while in a battle unless u dodge in cover.

If you're smart, you'll either stay AWAY from the corner, or ignore the idiot and go find some explosives to toss his/her way. You don't HAVE to run straight up to the guy's campy corner. Either flank him, or use grenades/digger/bunny-rabbits/etc to force him/her out of his/her little camp.
It's called "Strategy"

I hate when I see an enemy in cover so I come up and roll behind them to take them off guard. They fire and their shot kills me after I've rolled behind them, as though I was still in front of them. The lag ruins everything and really changes the way you have to play. It's still infinitely smoother than in the first two Gears games though.

Anyways. The SO is a fun weapon, nothing more. You can go pussyfoot around and call it a noob weapon, but there ARE people in the world who want to play a game without needing to grind through a learning curve to be "average."
