  • This building is very similar and reminds me of the interior of the Catholic Cathedral in Christchurch, New Zealand, now ruined by the city's earthquakes.

  • i dont hear much of the piccolotrumpet could be louder

  • Gorgeous... Bravo!! (to the guy who was recording the video: don't turn the camera that way)

  • Great playing! That organ is monstrous though...

  • Wonderful performance. I hope the congregation knew it was coming!

  • Stainless steel stop jambs!

  • A great performance but pray tell what happened to the camera person at :44?

  • Lovely. Wish it was longer!!!!

  • Heavenly!!!

  • Where is this cathedral? Nice sound on the organ and the trumpet just added more. Too bad the camera person didn't use a tripod. Thanks for posting.✝

  • nice trumpet

  • LOVELY!

  • @elbueyz

Das ist der 5. Satz (Marsch) aus der Suite für Trpt. & Orgel von Händel . Noten sind u.a. von E.H. Tarr herausgegeben und von Musica Rara verlegt

  • Te Deum M-A Charpienter, is not Haendel.

  • @elbueyz This is NOT Charpentier's Te Deum

  • Handel's amazing!!

what is the name of this song?

  • I play the organ, I would like the name of this song! (have a friend that plays trumpet)

  • WHat's the name of this song. I play trumpet.

  • This is a lovely piece of music and both players compliment each other. Well done.

I am bemused by all the negative comments. You're like a bunch of food critics - fat, pompous, negative and think you know what you're talking about but when it comes to it you couldn't even boil an kettle.

  • Comment removed

  • You mean the water IN the kettle??

  • well what do you use a kettle for?

  • That would depend what type of kettle it is, Re: a drum or a grill?? Hello.

  • I said in my original comment that "you couldn't even boil a kettle". You don't use a drum or grill kettle to boil anything!!!

And a point of correction "RE" your most recent statement. "RE" your use of "RE", you don't make any sense. "IE" is most appropriate here.

    Happy to discuss.

    Thanks

  • Organist does lift his hands at trumpeter's cutoff. Probably a mirror.

    The reverberation continues.

I LOVE a full pipe organ. With the piccolo trumpet pointing at the audience and not the camera, I'm sure the audience heard every note.

  • RETARD with the camera man RETARD

  • then scroll down and just listen to the music ;)

  • Good idea!! HA XD

  • Absolutely pathetic camera work for an otherwise nice performance.

  • Nice...but I agree that the organ might have used a little softer setting, and it would have been nice if the organist had looked for the trumpeters cut-off at the end rather than holding the last note beyond him. Beautiful piece and performance.

  • How is it possible! The organ sounds very full with almost all the stops, and there is only one trumpet....

  • Trumpets have a way of standing out

  • And this is what piece?

  • Handel's Suite in D major. The movement is the March. I think.

  • It is the last movement, the slow march.

  • Looks a great organ, but I think slightly too loud

  • I would bet one dollar that the person holding the camera is a woman.

  • he have talent i not

  • Thank you for a great performance. Great trumpet and organ playing.

  • Warum, was passt denn nicht?

  • @hansiober: erst mal selber hinbekommen.

  • wie heißt der organist

  • Jürgen Wolf (Kantor an der Nikolai Kirche)

  • Magnífico!

  • Organ sounds fantastic and the trumpet really does ride above it!

  • BEAUTIFUL - Thank you for your wonderful gift to us - Blessings.

  • Excellent playing! I could even hear the trumpet sometimes over the organ. You need to fire your videographer. No, really! Nothing should distract from the beauty of your music.

Try using a tripod setup shot in the back of the church with you near the camera. That should improve the balance as well.

  • Felicidades a los dos. Impresionante.

  • EXCELENTE INTERPRETACION FELICITACIONES lacidesromero48

  • Good sound on the A picc. tpt. Need to end with a high-D. Tell you organist an accompaniment in not a solo piece.

  • High F that is

  • my father can play this exact peice. im learning it... it sounds great!!!

  • Please, what's the name of this piece? Somebody wrote, that it's last movement of Suite in D (HWV 349), but I think it isn't. Thanks! ;-)

  • wonderful performance :-) thank you

  • Thrilling!

  • hi the tune you have trumpet and organ Handel what is it called. its very nice please relpy

  • Two pros and a moron. ;D

    (Two musicians and a cameraman)

    Lovely vid. Thanks.

  • Very nice. However, I am not really sure that this piece is indeed the "Bourée" of the Suite in D-Major. At least it sounds quite different on the CD I have.

  • This is the "March" of the Suite in D Major by G.F. Handel (at least, that's what it says on my music :)). It is the last movement. The publisher is Musica Rara in France.

  • What piece by Handel was that? Nice, consise Binary form! ^_^

  • wunderschoen

  • QUite nice. Pity the organist was far too loud when accompanying. Use full organ for the solo organ passages and something softer without reeds when with the trumpet.

  • how long have you been playing the piccolo trumpet?

  • Great! What is the title of the selection? The trumpet and the organ always go well with each other.

  • nice, were i can get notes of this piece ?

  • Is there any reason why the Video need be turned sideways. Were you on a roller coaster. Quite distracting

  • I am sorry. It was filmed by ALF. :)

  • Sounds great, but the video makes me seasick.

  • Nicely done! Good sound on the piccolo trumpet, and the organist is really good also (nice articulations and phrasing.) Many organists don't phrase well when playing with wind players, but this one does. Great ensemble playing! I enjoyed it.

  • That's a great point about the phrasing. You are quite right.

  • Unglaublich Toll!!

  • Great!!! Both!!!

  • it's a piccolo trumpet so it has half of the tubing, sounds an octave higher, and has a fourth valve to kick it into register.

  • You sure thats a trumpet? Wheres the rest of the tubing?

  • Great!

  • 5 stars! are you using some alternate fingerings around bar 25/26? very nice trumpet sound, thanks for the video

  • is this the Suite in D-Major form Handel's Water Music, the final march? I can't really find any ressemblance... but this is a nice piece though

  • the voice of God........

  • Nice, thanks for posting this. Great sounding organ.

  • The Organ is to loud!!

  • No it isn't. The organ is the perfect volume. The sound of the piccolo trumpet and the organ have differing tonalities so both are clearly heard. I think it is marvelous! Thanks for posting!

  • I think it was recorded on a little home video camera, If he(she?) had pointed more to look into the bell of the piccolo it would have made a clearer ,stronger, truer sound

  • Great video! If any of you should be surprised of the fantastic combination of trumpet and organ, please check this CD: oleedvardantonsen (dot) com (slash) index (dot) html?31592 (no urls allowed here...)

  • The pureness of the trumpet along with the power of the organ make for a wonderful combination, well done; love that natural echo in the sanctuary.

  • Where is this Organ??

  • at the Nicolai Church in Leipzig (one of the two churches where J.S. Bach served as organist and choir masters)

  • Nice video!!! Very nice sound on both instruments.!

  • qand yet I still don't know the name of this Handel piece... so simple yet so nice!

  • It's the final movement of Handel's "Suite in D-Major".

  • Yes I couldn't agree more, a full Church Organ with a trumpet is a fantastic combination, as this piece demonstrates.

  • ethereal! the trumpet and organ is a marriage made in heaven. There is an aria by Bach, "You shall love God your Master" BWV 77 that I absolutely adore for the combination of these two wonderful instruments

  • Who is the organist? Do you know? Good Video

  • It is Jürgen Wolf, organist and choirmaster at the Nikolai Church.

  • So powerful the organ with the trumpet!! love it! Does anyone know the name of this musical piece? I'd like to get my hands on it! Thanks...

Konzerte??

  • That is really a wonderful video: The church, the organ, the trumpet playing. Stunning!

  • Very nice!! What type of piccolo?

  • It's a Shilke P54
