I love this song so much, I've just reccently discovered it and it is so full of emotions and feelings that it really has a deep impact on my heart and mind. I think this song is about overcoming depression or weakness and then in the end you're feel as strong and powerful as you've never have felt before. The last parts of the song remninds me of war, historic wars, like Elizabeth defeating the Spanish armada, the wars of the roses, any kind of war.

@Sirina7 i think ea's playing with the double meaning of the word dominant. the song is written in D major, whose "dominant" (fifth scale degree) is A major. the song is constantly switching from D to A and from A to D, that is from the tonic to the dominant. lol :) it's a pretty basic -yet always beautiful- harmony, so maybe that's why you find it "calming".

As I have her book in front of me right now, I suspect it also is called Dominant because music is the only way Emilie was able to combat the voices in her head as a child. Hence the almost war-like reminisce (as some people have pointed out) yet calming effect.
