  • Hello, nice video, plane and flying! I have a similar model at home that I´m going to convert to electric engine. Being really confused over how to solve the assembly of the motor in the fuselage, I would be greatful if you had the possibility to make a small video from your friends installation, or maybe you could send a mail with some photos?? Best regards from Kenneth in Sweden

  • @Ken1RC Hello...ive forwarded your question to the person who owned it...i have not see him for a while so maybe he will answer you...there is one thing i do know: he doesnt have it anymore...so maybe he took some pics before, i dont know...

  • who can hear how the plane sounds with the music playing, brother

  • @ndhudecz

If you read the title you will see that it is an electric conversion of a gas powered ARF kit...its electric, so you will not miss mutch as far as sound is concerned.... bizzzzzzzzz

  • @1977jv what about speed?

  • cool plane, you should create a profile on RCPilotsOnline . com

  • @atrave01 RCPilotsOnline . com? ill have to look in to that...

  • 1977jv,what's the best rc plane you have ever flown and what's the worst.

  • Hello Alejandro, the best flyer i have on the moment would be the Kyosho Spitfire 90... i recall the H9 Texan and the Graupner p-51 Voodoo Chile as very good flyers too but they are sold (i tend to sell and buy very frequently and not all the planes i have are posted here) In fact the most of todays ARF's fly pretty good if tuned correctly if you as me! The worst flyer? The worst i've had was an old electric big Protech DC-3 arf kit and the CMPRO Christen Eagle i had wasnt flying too well either

  • @1977jv Oh those are good planes, and dont sell them

  • for cg i used (with fuel in the plane.)..the cg was one third the wing width from the leading edge back for starters...

  • i have just bought one and i am going to put a 46 methanol enigne on it.

How does it flyes? flyes bad and it hard to controll? what do you think? plz answer! should i sell the plane and bye another one? btw i have been flying rc planes for 3 years, i hade a plane from CMPro that was way to heavy and it crashed. does your want to tip over? plz reply!!

  • I have a CMPro 182 Cessna and am using a 50 evo motor on it with a 11-10 prop and the lead sled doesn't want to get off the ground its like its way underpowered even though there directions say thats the motor for it all my other planes rocket off the ground in 40 ft not this one.I need a big wide area to have more take off distance I cant keep it in a straight line long enough to get it off the ground before it runs off the road Im frustated check out my video

  • it is not my plane but ill try to answer: it will do a tip stall if you fly too slow or take off too soon...it flys like a warbird...what can i say...the setup you see flying was heavy but a 46 2strok should do fine...

  • I have the CMPRO Mustang 50 which also had the incorrect CG instructions. After reading up on it on RC Groups and finding the right ballance it flies really nice but the landings have to be hot!

  • I find that the Cmpro warbirds have a nice scale look and are rather strong...

But i like de new Kyosho warbird series better...

  • Yeah but thats electric powered?

Nicely detailed, but the p-40 doesn't seem to have retracts in the set, of course cmpro doesnt have retracts either.

  • Well done! You have just shown that this particular plane can be flown successfully. I know CMPRO screwed up the CG in the manual so could you tell us what you set it at?

  • Thanks! The plane actually belongs to a good friend and he told me 40mm from leading edge of wing...but it´s nose heavy. He as A123 cells in it and weights more than 3kg...It seems that the p40 is not the only one with wrong CG indication! We both had a Cmpro Giles and it was also tail heavy if you follow the manual...same story if you take a look on the net about Cmpro...
