Its interesting, we "Know" that Mark Felt is Deep Throat because there is alot of evidence saying so, and because both Woodward and Bernstein have released the fact that he was "Deep Throat" but there is disagreement. Some others believe it could be others in the administration of the time. Instead he went to Bob Woodward, a reporter, because he knew this would be the best way to get horrible publicity for Nixon, whom he resented for not appointing him the head of the FBI after Hoover's death. This is an unethical method of revenge, not follwing a legal patriotic course.
