  • some one just asked me this on twitter :D

  • "Hoo do yoo noo so mooch aboot swaloos?"

  • i love this dialogue... :D

  • One of the greatest endings of all time occurred in this movie.

  • I wonder what happens if you ask Siri this question?

  • @Killermike2178 She says: "About 25 mph for a European swallow. You have to know these things when you're a virtual assistant, you know."

That's when I knew Siri was awesome.

  • Why is he wearing chain mail?

  • @awesomelightning Because he's the king. It's also why he's not covered in shit.

  • @awesomelightning Because the letters said that if he didn't, he would die in 2 weeks :P

  • @Killermike2178 I want chain mail for an entirely different reason. Look up "Tesla Coils Imperial March" and choose the one by arcattackmusic. See what he wears? See what he does. Thats what I want to do, and that's why I want it.

  • About 10 meters per second.

  • @awesomelightning correct! it is also the same speed as a turbolift in Star Trek -- about 22.36936mph

  • @slpknt10l03 more precisely, 9.9 meters per second, but he said estimated hee hee. I can run just about that fast in 10 second darts...

  • As close as the 70's could get to a meme.

  • 5 people...............i dislike this

  • Brave Sir Robin ran away.

  • 40 km/h for a European Swallow

  • A My Little Pony ad? How funny. That's the very reason I came here.

  • i love that this is one of the Privacy questions on the Big Tim Rush website!

  • @thepeoplestube By the Holy Grail, you're right! o_o

  • best part 0:23 - 0:31

  • WolframAlpha says that "the airspeed velocity of an unladen European swallow is 25mph or 11m/s"

but WolframAlpha also says that "there is unfortunately insufficient data to estimate the velocity of an unladen African swallow (even if you specified which of the 47 species of swallow found in Africa you meant)"

  • @PlayaSx1 lol

  • 00:17

Reminds me of Master Yoda xD haha. err... the voice at least haha.

  • i fart in your general direction

  • 'Tis, but a scratch!

What you mean a scratch? Your arm's off!

    Epic!

  • @ORioN63PT It's just a flesh wound.

  • well when your a king u have to know these things u know. i know because

I am the king of the Beach... not joking.:)

  • Serves the old man right for switching up the questions!

  • Most quoted film of ALL time. A CLASSIC

  • Comment removed

  • Somebody's probably said this, but I just noticed the unladen swallow thing showed up somewhat subtly throughout the film; in the beginning Arthur argues with a knight about the possibility of a swallow carrying a coconut at 1/5 of its weight, and mentions its airspeed velocity. Later on the Witch prosecutor is shown testing a bird laden with a coconut, and later the question of the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow.

  • @Gasketfuse thats how he knows it..........

  • LOL ALL HAIL THE BRICK JOKE!!!

  • African or European swallow?

  • LOL

  • "How do you know so much about swallows?"

"Well, you have to know these things when you're a king."

  • if you watch closely at the witch scene whats his face is trying to make a swallow fly with a coconut

  • Now go away or I shall taunt you a second time-uh.

  • My friend and I always recited the line "How do you know so much about...." in the exact same manner and tone as Terry with the subject of whatever someone was talking about in much detail, mostly just to piss them off, better than calling them a smart-arse, really throw them off guard "How do you know so much about your own homelife?"

  • 11 m/s or 25.71 mph

  • My American Literature teacher put this on one of our tests mid-term, if we got the question right he gave us an automatic 100 =D Luckily I had watched the movie.

  • @jcorley2710 what is your answer? the same as arthur?

  • @adiismyname24 yes he was looking for you to answer with "African or European" although I'm sure if you answered with the actual airspeed velocity I'm sure he would have given it to us =p

  • "What is your favorite color?"

  • @starwarscomic Blue. No Yellooooooooooooooooooooow!

  • @starwarscomic blue no wait yellow arrrrgh (gets thrown over bridge)

  • Elderberries.

  • Sniveling English Knigghits

  • "Well, you have to know these things when you're a king, you know".

  • I fart in your general direction!

  • Roughly 11 meters per second.

  • I loved this move with all my heart!!! Rofl. That part when the French dude was like, "Yer Motha was a hamster, and yer Fatha was a snake" PRICELESS!!! I WAS LITERALLY DYING!!!

  • that the name saber what my Abram tank code sign was . =) and 22 is my age and tanker is my group rank . 19k .

  • Sorry, this is in a game or in the Army? Our tanks had code signs like Alpha 2-3, or Black 6. What's a group rank?

  • how do you know so much about swallows?

  • Well you have to know these things when you're king you know.

  • This and rmy of Darkness just do it as the funniest movies ever...Naked Gun and Airplane are close but those first two just do it...

  • U ≈ 3fA f ≈ 15 (beats per second) A ≈ 0.22 (meters per beat) U ≈ 3*15*0.22 ≈ 9.9

... to estimate that the airspeed velocity of an unladen European Swallow is 10 meters per second.

  • What is the airspeed velocity of it while carrying a coconut? XD

  • Well you have to know these things when you are king.

  • I'll NEVER stop laughing at this !!

  • Well you have to know these things when your a king, you know... ;p

  • what is the answer ?

  • For a European swallow, it's 8.94 meters per second, or 19.99 miles an hour.

  • According to WolframAlpha, it's 25mph.

  • @MajinMustang acually it's 24 miles per hour i did a paper on it for university

  • @MajinMustang

    It's hilarious because it's true.

  • @MajinMustang Wolfram Alpha thinks different.

  • @jonnyj0987654321 Thanks for telling me someone disagrees with a comment I made 2 years ago.

  • @MajinMustang Surely, surely, for the love of God, you could see the humour in that?

  • @jonnyj0987654321 I guess I'd need to know who or what Wolfram Alpha is to see the humour.

  • @MajinMustang wolframalpha . com

    Have fun.

  • ROFL. Awesome. idk then gone. XD
