Irregardless of opinions on what the best or worst in trance may be, until you are in a live venue and "Silence"-Tiesto/Delirium/Sara­h McLachlan is played-you may still disagree on how amazing that track is. I have heard it live and FELT it. I live in a rather rural area, and when that one plays I am right back to where I was when I heard it and felt it.

That is the power of music and the epic nature of trance.

Elitism in the way you show here is the stupidest thing I know, just cause something is underground doesn't mean it's better. My list as of today would look different, but still include many of the old classics. And beleive me, I've heard quite a lot of trance the last years.

@oiskela there are underground that is liked as many as these commercial but the diffrents is the " underground isnt promoted every 5 sec on tv or dance events or radio. there are some good commercial tunes but i really think they are not the best at all you should look deeper int the endless variety oof trance like also goa or acid and psytrance you wouldbe amazed ^^

@oiskela : Golden years of Trance are early/late 90's which is when I got my first TT's. Adagio for Strings is originally by Samuel Barber technically speaking. Ecstasy is by Hi-Gate, Remixed by Darude, not ATB, not even close to his style. Traffic is still the #1 Trance track in the UK. Oceanlab, now AB&B, are also in top 5 for UK/Europe. For an Angel by votes is considered the best trance track of all time. Just Saying, & Better of Alone(Cheesy or Not), is 1 of the most recognized tracks.
