That's right,but this fact by itself shows how good is the MiG-21 design,and let the possibility to imagine how intersting would be this plane with double delta wing as seen in Analog prototype and american prototype F-16F - or F-16XL,as you prefer - and ventral air intake as seen in Ye-8 prototype,having in the nose space to a modern multimode radar, more under wing hardpoints and REVO fixed probe as seen in Mirage 2000 fighters.
