I can't seem to open up the new design when I'm done folding...whenever I try, the point of the flexigon seems to be closed and I followed every step correctly and perfectly. Please help...

The only thing i can say is keep trying.. You must be doing something wrong. Maybe you just missed a step? Keep trying :)
