Humans always have to interfere in some way, just so they feel they have done something special.
Chaining one of her back legs and having these weird looking creatures (ie: humans) around her as she is trying to give birth is actually cruel. Where in nature does this really occur ? no where that is !
It's great the calf is healthy etc but still i'm sure these animals would prefer to be 100% free in the wild, then again, humans done even let wild animals be at peace there.

would have been nice not to see one of the keepers holding a bull hook. Mother and calf would have done well without the intervention and given the time to bond right after birth. Elephants have been having calves for years without human intervention
