  • I like my guitar teachers cover the best. :)

  • Dear people, I like both the original, and Jack Johnson's cover. Now we can move on with our happy lifes. (=

  • I went back, listened to both versions on iTunes - Jack Johnson's & The White Stripes. The iTunes version of The White Stripes' rendition was much richer and far less nasal than what I had previously listened to on YouTube. However, so was Jack Johnson's version on iTubes - quite rich and with a delicious voice that is to my taste! That is why there are so many varied recording artists. We all have our preferences in music. I prefer Jack Johnson's voice. You obviously prefer the other...

  • totally unnecessary cover lol

i love jack Johnson, but the White Stripes had a more quaint sound for the song.

  • @marilynwaswiley Jack Johnson isn't really singing. his voice has no vibrato at all in this. he just talks the lyrics with some semblance rhythm. by quaint i meant the simple kick drum and guitar. it sounds simple and accessible like it was recorded on their porch with just the two of them. and Jack White is singing in the falsetto, Jack Johnson is speaking on the lower end of movie preview voice over.

  • white stripes is better by far

  • @thecoolfool8 they are both very good musicians in theyre own right nut they have very different styles.

  • much better than his botched attempt at the white stripe's my doorbell

  • i love this version! :D does he have this song on an album? :)

  • I met Jack Johnson before at a Merine Debate in Hawaii and he sang wonderful. He didn't sing this song, though. He sang two toher nice songs. He's a really nice singer!

  • love this song!!!!!

  • the 5 dislikes can jump off a cliff.

  • @frogman7721 it really isnt a good cover

  • I miss the White Stripes.

  • this is good but the white stripes were way better. First it was the "napoleon dynamite song" now everyone thinks Jack Johnson made, at least napoleon dynamite is a good movie that uses the real song

  • Gentlemen, This is a White Stripes cover

  • Napolean Dynamite!!!

  • this my shittttttt

  • @restless1999 i a agree, sure its a cover?

  • Sounds easier to play on guitar than the original. Plus, a duet with the keyboard starting half-way through.

  • this is not a cover

  • @imheiding yeah it is. lol

  • @imheiding it sure is dude

  • @imheiding yes it is.

  • @imheiding yes it is

  • I am practicing this song to play at my parents' anniversary.

It's pretty simple and you can have a lot of fun with it, I am going to add a tempo change in it for the last verse.

And when he says, "Susielee" I will say, "Riley Mckie." (My partner's name). =)

  • @restless1999 thats because a different jack wrote this song

  • Heartwarming.
