I invented something along the same lines but mine throws random punches that you can set the speed of the punch, from "slow" to superman speeds. The only way I know the speed of the punch is to video it and then use a video editor with a clock to see the time. Mine involves real body movement to stop the punch vs just pushing a button. I like your timer.
