He found a blue-haired guy called Stu-Pot, who played piano and could sing, and Murdoc pushed Stu's eyeballs into his head, so he became 2D. They found an American drummer, Russel, and a Japenese 10-year-old guitarist called Noodle. Russel's best friend had died recently, and his name was Del, but the ghost of Del came into Russel and Del became the rapper on Gorillaz' first album.

They had a single from that album called "El Manana", and for the video Noodle was to be bombed on a floating island. Noodle 'appearently' died, and Russel left the band. So, Murdoc and 2D went THEIR sepereat ways. 2D was captured in late 2009 by Murdoc, and taken to a place called Plastic Beach.

Russel tried to swim to Plastic Beach, but became giant due to the pollution in the water. And Noodle's not dead, as found out in the "On Melancholy Hill" video. Okay, satisfied?
