The churning of the sea milk occured before preah ream. vishnu aka preah reach incarnated to kurma the turtle to hold the mountain on his back to help the devidas get the elixir of mortality. But the asoras grabbed the elixir. so preah reach incarnated to a woman, mohini to enchant the asuras to get elixir back to the devidas.
