now seriously, car companys buy the rights to use songs from the record companys, what should U2 have to do with it?

U2 hardly ever give out rights to use their songs, ESPECIALLY not for adverts. I can't see them letting bmw use this song to sell cars.
And have you ever seen this advert on tv? I haven't.

i think U2 likes BMWs. and that is awesome. i like U2, and i Love BMWs. i like this COMMERCIAL. i hate to say it, but the punchline wasnt all that good. coulda been better

Which country are you in? The BMW 1-series is only being sold in Europe to the best of my knowledge. So it would make sense to only advertise it in those countries.

nope they sell it in the US, middle-east (i live in oman now, expat) and in malaysia, where i'm from. Not too popular in malaysia nor middle east. Don't know about us, but they don't just sell it in europe.
