The man broke his pinky, then used the brace as a slide. Saw someone mention he looked loose on stage, i think i remember him saying he was on painkillers for the pinky. Claypool during the summer in the rain at dusk.. it was seriously awesome

Yeah I just commented on that! Imagine playing a 2 hour show with a fucked-up pinky? Painkillers or not, my playing would definitly be far more effected than Les'. That man is a bass playing machine...than again, I'm sure it's not much more of a leap than playing on mushrooms and whatever else les demands..I once heard from the guy who designed(not sure if he still does) the sets for primus/claypool shows(all the hangy-ballon turny shiny-shit.) that les has a "list"....

Loose in terms of bouncing around? Becuase check out classic Primus footage and he's bouncin' everywhere, but if you're talking in terms of playing, I agree, he's ususally much tighter musically, that's the worst Ive ever seen him play,and it was still frekain' sweet!

The whole story is in "Up on the Roof" parts 7,8,& 9. The part specifically about his pinky is in part 9. The audio when Les is talking is kind of hard to understand. Basically, he caught his pinky on a guys shirt while he was making a movie. I suggest watching the whole "Up on the Roof" video if you haven't (approx. 16 min.). Its one of my favorite videos that I've recorded . I'm surprised to see "One Better" getting more views than it. It was the first song of their set and they all shred!!
