  • Ask Mengele

  • braid them and then tie then under your chin?

  • @GavriellaMichal LMAO!

  • @scag15 Im glad you didn't take me seriously hehe

  • You want to know what is really dangerous?.....making a video as you are driving!

  • Nice car lol.

  • clip them to your beard

  • cut them off they are ugly

    also, religion must die

  • my left lock ends up making circles in the air next to my head when the window is down. It is really annoying when they start shipping you in the eyes! Even tucking behind the ears doesn't help. In the winter time, wearing a beanie helps. In the summer, if I wear a bandanna, I'll pull them through the open space in the back. I know this was a farce video, but it really is a dangerous thing! :)

  • THAT.....was comedy?!! Since when?

You've been growing these for decades and you don't know what to do with them?

  • Very good! Love your payis they look great!

  • Just add bees wax they will become like barb wire, try it on your mustache first you will be amaze and its kosher

  • would a jewish person ever cut the hair / beard? i was thinking let's just say you had to serve in the military. and the new rules were everyone has to get haircuts? i've never got an answer for this one.

  • Not cutting hair is primarily practiced by the Orthodox and Hasidim. Most other Jews won't have a problem with cutting hair.

  • @xKatz90 ya know i rely did a bad job writting that question. what i screwed up was would an Orthodox or Hasidim (hope that's right) jewish person cut their hair for military service?

  • @farblonjet I think he should know better huh?

  • my boyfriend ties them together lightly behind his head :)

  • well uhh you cut them lol

  • A friend of mine who had long hair used to keep a set of purple sweatpants in the back seat of his car for when he wanted to drive with the windows down. He would put them on his head so the legs would run in the breeze when the wind blew in the windows. He looked a bit like a deranged rabbit, but it worked pretty well for him. The pants also came in handy for when he would go swimming and need a dry pair of pants afterwards.

  • Great beautiful and magnificent Payis !!! I am glad that you are now on track, but not fully yet, the rest of your hair is very long on top of front to the bottom of the neck, you must put a flush, a naked, was bald! In my community there is a naked breslov completely bald while the rest of our hair,. Hair is not for us according to the kabbalah! I've also Payis but they are shorter, and the rest of my hair is placed at the grassroots completely bald as kabbalah.

    B''H! Rabbi Levi Eliezer.

  • I would think makeing a Video as you are driving your car is MORE dangerous then your Payot blowing about with all the windows open!

  • #LOL

  • My friend, in terms of the payis getting in the way (when you drive) just grow all your hair long from the back too and ponytail or braid it. It's a 100% kosher solution and it's how I wear my hair. This is common among Orthodox Christians too. My opinion hair just looks more attractive this way too. I'm kind of surprised more Jews haven't considered this common sense option?!

  • i dont think theyre too long, i think payos are beautiful

  • I think scissors have existed for thousands of years.

  • wrap them around your glasses.... or maybe tie them behind your head

  • too pathetic for words

  • This is easy. Drive a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and you can tuck your payot into your helmet. You'll not only feel cool, you'll look cool on a Harley.

  • maybe have someone behind you and carefully hold them for you? making you to look carefully at the road?

  • Buy a car with aircondition and close the windows!!! and then you don't have that problem.

  • @davidoffc3 sorry but that was tooo funny...good but funny....

  • yo are sick dude

  • "But the payos keep going in my face, in my in mouth, in my eyes..." NOT TRUE! atleast I don't see it!!

  • Become a better person and keep your religious beliefs to yourself :-)

  • Leviticus 19.27, we are commanded By G-d!

  • Not all drugs are herbal.

  • my friend just raps them behind his ears

  • i think we should send you some money VIa paypal for having PAyos, it's geon yakov.

i hate the part where you back up and return to the ssame point

  • you know whats REALLY dangerous? making a video while you are driving!

  • you sound cute

  • Try the grooming that is standard in the IDF.

  • Hey, do you by chance know of any place where I can find a Synagogues around Pittsburgh, PA? I want to check one out someday.. Its been an interest lately and I would like to give it a try..

  • Grow them longer and drive faster.

  • lol good call....

  • ☻/

/▌This is Bob. Copy and paste him so

/ \ he can take over youtube

  • payis are holy like jata (dreadlock) so just tie them together over top of your head like we do with lock. onelove.

  • LOL! Word.

  • i hate to inform you but a religion is not abt being cool its abt doing what god wants and not changing your traditions and values even if we are living in 2009

  • Can they be pulled back or do they have to be visible at all times?

What are they for? Seriously, what do they represent or signify? I am not trying to be a smart ass I really would like to know! :)

  • There is a commandment in Torah for men not to cut the edges of their beards. Some Jewish communities don't keep this, some keep it in different ways. Traditional Judaism tends to be set up in ways that incorporate physical reminders to follow the commandments into your every day life. Paes are one type of this physical reminder for men specificaly.

  • Moshe Tie the hair things to the back of your head with a hair scrunchy.

  • use rubber bands dumb ass.

  • WHY ARE YOU NOT MUSLIM?

  • 'casue i am too busy dealing with my long unmanageable payis, that's why. salaam, dude.

  • Moshe, string some Rasta beads in your hair thingies.

  • Hair Glue, Got2B brand, that'll make them stay in place, I use that on stage when I go crazy rocking out and sweating, and my hair stays all crazy like I like it, but I don't have Payis, and i'm not jewish, so I'm not sure if Got2B is kosher, it is milky but smells like strawberries

  • sumthing u put on ur hair duzint havta be kosher lol unles you eat it

  • snort them up yo nose

  • ass face with payis

  • Hey how long does it take to grow a set of payis?

  • haha

  • LOL so all the suggestions were very good except maybe the poky one but u could put them up under ur yamuka like some ppl do or perhaps... u could become lubavitch and cut them off in in that way u would not be bockind the flow of chessed from hashem that the beard provides... im not sure what the payis make flow down but...humm now i have to go back and learn again thanks!

  • That probably wouldn't help, because the Rebbe specifically instructed that people who came to Lubavitch from another Chassidus should "keep their L'Vush," which includes Payos.

At the Ohel on the Shabbos right before Gimmel Tammuz, I was amazed by how many long payos and Streimlach there were.

  • Did you think about cutting them off?

  • no, cutting them off is not an option.

  • well...lets say, theoretically speaking, i was to come in while you were sleeping and i cut them off....

    what are the consequences?

  • the one who cut them off will be punished (how? i'm not sure). But the one whose payis were cut off while he was sleeping receives no punishment.

  • How about getting hair clips and restraining them to your head?

  • Wrap them around your ears

  • Put them in a ponytail band, tied behind your head! :-)

  • Use hair gel and make them spikes like a punk rocker. That would be cool! You could start a trend.

  • Try tieing a fishing weight onto each one.

  • I would definitely say a hair-tie.

  • you could tie them together under your chin and just make a bigger beard :)

  • According to Kabbalah, the Payos should not touch the beard (this is why Lubavitch does not wear long Payos).

  • cool

    i didn't know that!

  • very nice video, it shows the happiness of religious people :) good for you :)

  • You can use stiff hair gel and make them spikey in front of you. In self defense, they will come in handy, just lunge at someone and poke them! (Beware of blind people tho, as they may stand too close to you and injure themselves)

  • well you could take a rubber band and put the Payis to the back of you head and keep it back with the rubber band.

  • Cut them even with your chin as per Hungarian minhag. Then when driving, put them behind your ear.

  • You could tuck them under your kipa and secure with a kipa clip.

  • Cut them Off that should help!!!

  • Use the car's air-conditioning.

  • Wrap them around your ears, then fasten them with a hairpin.
