Okay, it wasn't miraculous that the nukje weapons didn't go off in the Goldsboro incient, because the bombs were only supposed to detonate under certain conditions, ie. they'd been armed and ready for fire. So it wasn't surprising that the goldsboro bomb didn't go off, that's what was supposed to happen, because it wasn't armed. It didn't matter that the other fail safes didn't work, because the arming failsafe is by far the most critical, since it's like an on/off switch.

this documentary is just to scare dumb idiots, when nuclear bombs are flown over US soil or when they are not active to go of, the plutonium sphere is removed. this plutonium is what makes the atomic reaction. there is an explosion that pushes the plutonium atoms in to a chain reaction therefore creating a high amount of energy. without this plutonium the bomb is nothing, only the small explosive device that causes the chain reaction, is left. none exploded, because none were armed.

Okay, it wasn't miraculous that the nukje weapons didn't go off in the Goldsboro incient, because the bombs were only supposed to detonate under certain conditions, ie. they'd been armed and ready for fire. So it wasn't surprising that the goldsboro bomb didn't go off, that's what was supposed to happen, because it wasn't armed. It didn't matter that the other fail safes didn't work, because the arming failsafe is by far the most critical, since it's like an on/off switch.

this documentary is just to scare dumb idiots, when nuclear bombs are flown over US soil or when they are not active to go of, the plutonium sphere is removed. this plutonium is what makes the atomic reaction. there is an explosion that pushes the plutonium atoms in to a chain reaction therefore creating a high amount of energy. without this plutonium the bomb is nothing, only the small explosive device that causes the chain reaction, is left. none exploded, because none were armed.

Quite easily actually! They aren't that big, they are robustly built, and even when damaged cannot be detonated. Nuclear weapons are far more intricate in their design than even a fine Swiss watch. Damage the trigger switches and the bomb is just a big lump of shit! Takes far more to make a nuke go boom than people realize.

Real but not armed. The bomb needs a trigger which is clearly not present in the videos here. And besides, if there were reason to use the bomb while a plane was out on a training run it makes our reaction that much faster to have the plane airborne already.

At 2:57 when the plane carrying the nukes crashes, the narrator says "Miraculously, neither bomb detonates!" This makes no sense, because they are designed so that they will not detonate unless specifically triggered, regardless of how they are damaged or destroyed otherwise. I think this show is designed purely for entertainment value and gets the facts messed up.
