@MrDip02 depends on the ball ive shot clear through a plastic ball but never tried a resin ball there are different types of bowling balls just like there are guns but a .338 lapua with a full metal jacket will go through mostly your correct though they just crack it in half same difference though the ball wouldent crack in half unless the structural integrity was compromised at least half way through

I am still not convinced really... Only took one 7.62x54r round to shatter a bowling ball last time I went shooting. That ball looks like a old rubber ball, wont find many of those left in your local bowling center.

@ruudjeshol Water offers good ballistic protection, with high-velocity .223 rounds shattering when contacting the water surface. Not as good protection for pistol rounds though, but 4 feet underwater is enough for a 9mm and you'll be safe.
