i noticed that while spinners are tough to beat without suffering major physical damage, they bounce off each other a lot and after a good hit, needs like 5 sec to accelrate again

Thus the case for hardened axles on heavy weights is answered. I had 5/8's key shaft hardened to 80 rockwell. As you can see once that blade connected with the wheels they snapped off at the axle. This was generation 4 of the robot. Now it is at 9. Apparently a couple of the wheels flew into the ceiling. If you can't win, die gloriously. Never tap out.

mmm i dont get what you're saying , shouldnt everyone just cover their wells so they don't get atacked like that? or there is a way to make your wheels sustain that kind of damage (even if parts fly over the wheel will stay in the robot)
