Anyone who had driven a diesel can tell you that off the line, they can't be beat. a 48hp Rabbit diesel will beat a corvette for about 10'. This truck has had some mods. The Duramac can easily put out 500 HP, or even 600HP.

Cummins is a better longer lasting motor, but the Duramax allison transmission is best between the Lariot, Duramax, and Cummins comparison. Now if they had the cummins with allison tranny, that would be nice. Anyone who has tested and reviewed these trucks in a comparison would know.
The cool thing about the truck is it's a sleeper. I would love to have a vehicle that doesn't look like much but will blow the doors off dudes that think they're faster, that sounds like fun.

most of the trucks you see on here are way past bolt ons once you get to 600hp you have to start doing internal stuff such as new head bolts porting and polishing the heads and stronger bottem end not to mention the cam its just like making a gas fast you can put all the bolt ons you want but if you dont strenthen it your gonna get your couch fucked in the long run like after a few passes your gonna start breakin shit

GM owned Isuzu at the time the Duramax was configured. They got together, the plans were made, then GM built it. GM builds and makes the Duramax, International makes the Powerstroke, and Cummins makes the Cummins.

The truck is running custom tuning, four inch exhaust, forty percent over injectors, BD Turbo, a modified intake, a modified fuel system and a Suncoast Stage V transmission.

true, new autos behind the cummins could stand to be used as a boat anchor, the 4 pinion 727 was and still is the strongest, it was stronger than the Getrag manual 5 when they were using it

Cummins is a better longer lasting motor, but the Duramax allison transmission is best between the Lariot, Duramax, and Cummins comparison. Now if they had the cummins with allison tranny, that would be nice. Anyone who has tested and reviewed these trucks in a comparison would know.

I'm not an old man lol (unless 20 is old). That statement was supposed to be condescending. They did an article on lotecs in car and driver. It was very interesting and I may end up building one in the future (preferrably with a 2.5L Type IV boxer). For now I'll stick to my M Roadster. Concerning trucks and agility, let me know when a truck finds its way onto the fastest laptimes on the nordschleife, and then you can call it fast.

most of the trucks you see on here are way past bolt ons once you get to 600hp you have to start doing internal stuff such as new head bolts porting and polishing the heads and stronger bottem end not to mention the cam its just like making a gas fast you can put all the bolt ons you want but if you dont strenthen it your gonna get your couch fucked in the long run like after a few passes your gonna start breakin shit

GM owned Isuzu at the time the Duramax was configured. They got together, the plans were made, then GM built it. GM builds and makes the Duramax, International makes the Powerstroke, and Cummins makes the Cummins.
