The old Android phones will lag when running 2.2 because it is meant to work with a 1ghz processor. The G1 had a much slower processor.

Cy said that he couldn't guarantee it would work if you don't wipe. For best results, you need to wipe when changing from ROM to ROM, especially when going from a Donut-based to Eclair-based ROM.

I'm sorry, did you read what Cy posted at all? You *must* wipe your phone (you have problems with syncing and Google apps otherwise), and you didn't flash the gapps update either, which is needed in order to get the Google Apps back on your phone. If anyone used this as a walkthrough, they wouldn't have a good end result.

It does have 3D hardware acceleration. The only things that he doesn't include from 2.1 is the Launcher2, which is the updated app drawer that you mentioned, and the stock live wallpapers, but it is supported. He just didn't include it due to him thinking it wouldn't run smoothly. Also, all pictures are going to have that static pixelation after you take it. This is due to the actual driver being backported from another device, due to the fact that there are no drivers for older Android phones.

Actually, his article does say you need to wipe. He said it himself that he cannot guarantee an update from 4.2 to 5.0 will work.

Indeed, I agree with breznk, this review is just terrible. You cannot install a new build and immediately start using it...all of the stuff that just got installed havent been loaded into the kernel, they haven't started to be optimized by the kernel yet etc etc. Next time show us the install process, then wait about an hour to review the working functions of the ROM itself.

This is a terrible review, i'm really sorry to say that. Makes the rom look like shit. This rom is actually very fast. Next time, make a review after about an hour after you installed the rom, so everything can set up the way it suppost to.
