Amtrack does not buy locomotives from other railroads. If anything they sell them or get them through a going out of business project.

@Mushroom3727 Ok you said "they buy locomotives from njt" so I assumed by "they" that you were referring to Amtrak. I said that Amtrak doesn't buy locomotives from NJT they lease the Arrow III MUs from NJT.

Also NJT doesn't have HHP-8s also you never said anything about an HHP-8 in your first comment on this video. MARC has HHP-8s but you said NJT and NJT doesn't have HHP-8s.

5 Stars! This is really RARE. I'm surprised you were able to chase it all the way from Queens to Penn Station via the NYC Subway. I wish MARC would run their AEM-7 a bit more often.

MARC is just now starting to get their AEM-7 locomotives back in service. I have seen a few vids of 4900, 4901, and 4902 recently. I will send you the video.

Thanks!!!!! It was luck that I was able to catch up to it all the way from Queens!!!!! I was riding on the 7 train and saw it pulling out of Sunnyside Yard so I got on the N train at Queens Plaza and chased it back to 34th
