Paddling alone with no experience on some pretty serious water with a paddle leash in conditions that could give you hypothermia easily? This is a bad idea on a number of levels, but dude... you have BALLS. I'm glad to see from some of the other comments that you are learning from your mistakes though. Welcome to the sport! You like like the kind of guy who could have a lot of fun with this!

ya I do, I have a cottage near by. I like doing Burleigh and hwy 7 runs in the spring.  If your new to the sport, remember to learn from my mistakes: never use a leash of any type, and if you bail; forget about the boat and aggresive swim when your near an eddie. (defensive swim is when your on your back going down river feet first while aggresive is on your belly hard swiming arm over head)
